    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>The Sr. Software Engineer will apply engineering principles to design, develop, test, and maintain software and systems, ensuring the operational functionality of releases. The Sr. Software Engineer will work with NSWCDD DNA stakeholders, development and support teams to develop and integrate secure capabilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Writing code using languages such as Python, Java, or C++ to create software and applications</li>\n <li>Designing the overall structure of software systems to ensure they are reliable, secure, and scalable</li>\n <li>Identifying and fixing errors in code to ensure functionality before, during, and after deployment</li>\n <li>Participating in code reviews with team members, attending meetings, and planning technical approaches</li>\n <li>Updating existing software to improve performance or add new features</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>#LI-AM1</em></p>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline such as computer engineering or computer science</li>\n <li>DoD approved DFARS 252.239-7001 Information Assurance Contractor Training and Certification, minimum IAT Level II</li>\n <li>10 years of full-time professional experience in computer programming in a complex computer network environment</li>\n <li>Three years of professional experience in a high level programming language (e.g. C++, Java, Python)</li>\n <li>A combined total of three years of professional experience with each of the following technologies:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Operating Systems experience in Windows and Linux</li>\n   <li>Linux System administration</li>\n   <li>VMware</li>\n   <li>Software Containerization application and utilization (e.g. Docker, IBM WebSphere Hybrid Edition, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)</li>\n   <li>Repository management experience (e.g. Git, Mercurial)</li>\n   <li>Software configuration management of tracking bug/enhancements in software releases</li>\n   <li>System and Network Cyber Security related activities to include design, implementation, configuration and enforcement of security controls on network, hardware, and software components and devices</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Required TS/SCI security clearance</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Desired Skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>None</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Clearance Information</h2>\n<p><strong>SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL</strong></p>\n<h2>Travel Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>10% annual travel </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About Us</h2>\n<p>Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
