This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is looking to build strong technical skills and gain exposure to multi-country financial operations.</p><p>You will work closely with the Finance and Operations Manager and broader finance team to support day-to-day accounting activities and ensure financial data is accurate and up to date.</p><h3><strong>Who We Are</strong></h3><p>The CrossBoundary team is a diverse group of professionals driven by a shared commitment to impact. We value curiosity, humility, integrity, a drive for excellence, and a bias for action.</p><h3><strong>Who You Are</strong></h3><p>The ideal candidate will have:</p><ul><li>1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (internships included)</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field</li><li>Basic familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., Xero, Sage, or similar)</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Willingness to learn and take initiative</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines</li><li>Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset</li><li>Progress toward a professional qualification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA, or CIMA) is a plus</li></ul><h3><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Assist in recording and coding financial transactions accurately in accounting systems</li><li>Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice tracking and payment follow-ups</li><li>Prepare and assist with weekly payment runs</li><li>Upload bank statements and assist with bank reconciliations</li><li>Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets</li><li>Support balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger maintenance</li><li>Review and process employee expense reports</li><li>Help maintain the fixed asset register</li><li>Assist in preparing cash flow tracking and basic forecasts</li><li>Support the finance team during audits by gathering required documentation</li><li>Assist with statutory filings and compliance requirements</li><li>Contribute to maintaining organized financial records across multiple entities</li><li>Provide general administrative and ad hoc support to the finance team</li></ul><h3><strong>Location</strong></h3><p>Nairobi, Kenya</p><h3><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer</strong></h3><p>CrossBoundary is an equal opportunity employer.
