This high-technology plant will have the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology.&nbsp;</p><p>Ultium Cells&rsquo; partners include LG Energy Solution, Ltd.; the world&rsquo;s largest manufacturer of automotive battery cells, and General Motors; a global company committed to delivering safer, better and more sustainable ways for people to get around.</p><p><strong>Position Description:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>This position will be part of a technical team responsible for engineering work that includes continuous improvement, investigating and troubleshooting equipment/manufacturing/facility problems, analyzing production results, implementing and improving manufacturing methods and processes, and ensuring high yield and productivity in a highly automated manufacturing environment. His/her functions will also include interaction with internal and external customers and external vendors to solve urgent and complex problems by identifying and evaluating alternatives to provide support of all in-plant production as required. Position requires some on-call support.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong> &nbsp;</p><p>An Equipment Tech. Engineer - Assembly ensures continuous process improvement and maintains machines through teamwork and clear communication. Co-work with production and process engineers and relative teams for success in the team&rsquo;s goals and for future opportunities. &nbsp;</p><ul><li>Design, control, and provide modification and improvement of the equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Trouble shooting and solving problems on the chronic errors/trouble&nbsp;</li><li>Find root cause analysis and reporting of major errors&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor and ensure running machines continuously to reduce breakdown time&nbsp;</li><li>Co-creation of documentation of the all the machines - creating and updating trouble shooting, work instructions, identifying problems, providing information about the course of the machine operation/maintenance during a shift and implementing preventive solutions&nbsp;</li><li>Support for production and maintenance in solving technical problems&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure compliance to safety and environmental regulations&nbsp;</li><li>Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, maintenance and inspection personnel&nbsp;</li><li>Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs&nbsp;</li><li>Practical knowledge and willingness to further develop in the area of mechanics / electrics / pneumatics and controls&nbsp;</li><li>Implements strategies to improve equipment uptime and availability&nbsp;</li><li><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp;</span>Additional duties as assigned &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Competencies:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or related), or similar preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Driven by objectives/KPI&rsquo;s; consistent; and high personal ownership to upholding accountability to established standards and practices&nbsp;</li><li><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp;</span>Ability to use Logical thinking and decision making by focusing on identifying root cause objectively using data, analyzing production results, and following proven problem-solving methods&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of Mechanical/technical curiosity and mindset&nbsp;</li><li>Commitment and desire to learn our complex battery manufacturing processes with the goal of becoming a go-to resource for technical problem-solving discussions&nbsp;</li><li>Effective communication and presentation skills&nbsp;</li><li>MS Office tool-based report writing and oral communication skills&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work well with individuals and teams across the company to achieve team goals and targets&nbsp;</li><li>Good computer, Troubleshooting, Problem-solving, Critical thinking skills&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work well in a team environment a requirement &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Total Rewards Information:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>We offer market-competitive compensation including base pay and incentive compensation opportunities based on the achievement of Company goals. &nbsp;We offer employees paid time off to refresh and recharge.
