Overview
Salary: $70K-$90K
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides assessment, intervention, consultation, and support services for individuals with speech, language, and complex communication needs. This role focuses on improving functional communication and quality of life through evidence-based speech-language pathology services, with experience in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and swallowing preferred.
This position provides services throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island and requires frequent regional travel between schools, community settings, partner sites, and other service locations. Candidates must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel regularly throughout both states.

Responsibilities
Assessment and Intervention
Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals with communication disorders to determine functional communication strengths and areas of need.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measurable goals based on client needs, preferences, and priorities.
Provide direct speech-language pathology services, including AAC assessment and intervention when appropriate.
Monitor client progress through data collection and ongoing clinical evaluation, modifying treatment plans as needed.
Support individuals in developing functional communication skills across environments and daily activities.
Training, Collaboration, and Consultation :
Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to support communication goals and carryover strategies.
Provide education and training to individuals, families, and support teams regarding communication strategies, AAC systems, and device use.
Documentation, Compliance, and Ethics
Complete timely, accurate, and concise clinical documentation, including evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and recommendations.
Maintain compliance with professional standards, payer requirements, state regulations, and organizational policies.
Advocacy and Education
Advocate for access to appropriate communication supports, AAC resources, and speech-language services for individuals with communication disabilities.
Participate in community outreach, educational presentations, or trainings related to communication, AAC, and assistive technology as needed.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) accredited university.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred or eligible.
Current professional licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island, or eligibility for licensure.
Experience working with individuals with complex communication needs and AAC systems preferred.
Experience evaluating and training individuals and families in AAC use preferred.
Experience working with individuals with swallowing needs preferred.
Experience developing individualized, measurable, and functional treatment goals.
Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification preferred or willingness to pursue certification.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Must hold a valid drivers’ license and have access to an operational and insured vehicle to travel between sites
