Description

Description We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves, and build a better world – together. At Ford, we're all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves? Do you believe great products are built at the intersection of business strategy and technical excellence? We do! Transforming how Ford engineers, manufactures, and delivers vehicles requires world-class Product Lifecycle Management capabilities, precise data governance, and seamless cross-functional collaboration. That's where our Enterprise PLM team makes an impact. We enable engineering and manufacturing organizations to operate smarter, move faster, and make better decisions. Join us and use your product management expertise to drive our digital thread initiative forward. We are seeking a highly collaborative and strategically minded Technical Product Manager (TPM) to own the product vision, roadmap, and execution of our enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform. In this role, you will act as the pivotal bridge between engineering, manufacturing, and business stakeholders and our technical implementation teams. You will own the lifecycle of our Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) platform capabilities, with a heavy focus on Bill of Materials (BOM) Management and Enterprise Change Management (ECM) . Responsibilities include the end-to-end ownership of PLM product strategy and delivery, from roadmap definition through production release, working within mixed-skill Agile teams and in close partnership with engineering architects, Scrum Masters, and global business stakeholders. By leveraging a rare blend of business acumen and deep technical familiarity with the 3DX ecosystem—specifically ITEROP BPM and NETVIBES —you will translate complex business needs into high-value product roadmaps, clear user stories, and technical requirements that drive measurable operational efficiency at scale. Responsibilities Define, maintain, and communicate the multi-year product vision and roadmap for the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, aligning PLM capabilities with global engineering and manufacturing strategies Establish, track, and report on key product metrics (KPIs) to measure the value, adoption, and operational efficiency of delivered PLM capabilities Conduct continuous benchmarking and research on 3DEXPERIENCE out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities to minimize custom development and maximize platform value Lead cross-functional discovery workshops with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Manufacturing to capture business requirements and pain points Translate complex business processes into clear, actionable Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria within an Agile/Scrum framework Prioritize the product backlog continuously, balancing technical debt, platform upgrades, and new feature requests to maximize business value per sprint Define product requirements for Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) , Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) , and Variant/Configuration Management Drive the product strategy for global Enterprise Change Management (ECM) , ensuring seamless change execution (CR/CA/CO) across cross-functional teams Partner with technical architects to ensure that product structures support downstream ERP, MES, and supply chain consumption Own the product requirements for cross-system workflow orchestration, defining how PLM interacts with external enterprise applications via ITEROP BPM Guide the deployment strategy for ITEROP BPM to automate end-to-end business workflows, ensuring processes remain lean, standardized, and compliant with BPMN 2.0 standards Collaborate with integration teams to define requirements for API-led connectivity and middleware orchestration Define product requirements for enterprise search, part standardization, and duplicate reduction using NETVIBES OnePart Partner with business leaders to design search-based applications and NETVIBES executive dashboards that surface real-time KPIs and actionable operational insights Partner with Scrum Masters, Architects, and QA Leads to plan release cycles, manage dependencies, and mitigate execution risks Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution, ensuring delivered features meet defined acceptance criteria and business expectations Champion organizational change management (OCM) efforts, overseeing the creation of training materials, release notes, and user-adoption programs Thrive in an Agile development environment, collaborating closely with engineers, architects, and cross-functional business stakeholders Qualifications We recognize that no one person will embody every single quality or skill listed below. If you are passionate about enterprise PLM and have a strong foundation in product management and digital manufacturing, we encourage you to apply. Education: Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, information technology or a technology related field MBA or Product Management certification (e.g., Pragmatic Institute, CSPO) is a plus Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, or Business Analyst leading PLM or enterprise-scale engineering software implementations 2+ years of hands-on experience with the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform (version 2022x or later preferred), including BOM Management and Change Management roles Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and build consensus among diverse, cross-functional, and global stakeholders Demonstrated problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in simple, business-oriented terms Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced Agile environment Required Technical Experience: Strong proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies, including experience with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), or equivalent backlog management systems Proven experience defining workflow requirements and managing implementations utilizing ITEROP or similar BPM platforms Experience defining requirements for enterprise search, analytics, or semantic data indexing solutions (ideally NETVIBES ) Ability to understand technical architecture diagrams, database schemas, REST APIs, and integration patterns well enough to challenge technical teams and make informed trade-offs Deep knowledge of BOM structures (EBOM/MBOM), Engineering Change Management (CR/CA/CO), and PLM data governance principles Preferred Experience: Experience in highly regulated, complex discrete manufacturing industries (e.g., Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial Equipment) Familiarity with ERP, MES, and supply chain systems and their integration with PLM platforms Experience with BPMN 2.0 standards and process modeling tools Exposure to API-led integration patterns and middleware orchestration strategies Experience leading organizational change management (OCM) programs including training development and user adoption initiatives Familiarity with digital thread or digital twin concepts within a manufacturing context You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
