Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<p>Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities for this Position</h2>\n<p>As a <strong>Deputy Program Manager - Engineering</strong> (DPME) for the Space Force MUOS program, you'll integrate with a highly skilled cross-functional team responsible for the production, implementation, and testing of advanced aerospace composites and military shelter products. You'll ensure that our systems meet engineering requirements, manage coordination with operations, and spearhead providing design inputs for upcoming contracts.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Plan, authorize, and monitor engineering work, ensuring high-quality, on-time deliverables</li>\n <li>Interface with the various Integrated Program Teams (IPTs) to provide necessary design engineering support for the production line, such as the organization of material review board analysis and inputs and coordination with various external customers</li>\n <li>Conduct monthly engineering status reviews and provide materials for program reviews</li>\n <li>Assist in staffing, managing resources, and providing performance feedback for the project team</li>\n <li>Foster cross-functional collaboration and communicate technical issue resolutions</li>\n <li>Oversee performance, cost, scope, and schedule for all engineering efforts</li>\n <li>Manage engineering-related risks, opportunities, and project change processes</li>\n <li>Lead technical proposals and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and assist in ROM development</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What sets you apart:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proven communication and ability to interface with internal and customer leadership</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge of technologies, principles, theories, and concepts related to the manufacture and design of aerospace composites</li>\n <li>Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills</li>\n <li>Ability to lead and motivate a team, resolve conflicts, and handle negotiations</li>\n <li>Experience with SPI/CPI, Earned Value, CAM, and Statistical Process Controls</li>\n <li>Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Our Commitment to You:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development.Production-oriented work, alongside award-winning teams developing practical solutions for our nation’s security</li>\n <li>Competitive benefits, including 401k matching, flex time off, paid parental leave, healthcare benefits, health & wellness programs, employee resource and social groups, and moreSee more at gdmissionsystems.com/careers/why-work-for-us/benefits</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-Hybrid</p>\n<p>#SGS</p>\n<h2>Salary Note</h2>This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
