    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>EFFINGHAM OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY ASSOCIATES,</strong> a practice partner of <strong>Together Women's Health</strong>, is seeking a full-time <strong>Triage Nurse (RN or LPN)</strong> to join their growing team!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As an experienced practitioner, the <strong>Triage Nurse</strong> is responsible for assessing patients, determining the severity of patients conditions, and prioritizing care based on the urgency of symptoms. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Applicants with Athena EMR experience will be given priority. </strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs telephone triage, patient education, handling of physician phone calls, pharmacy calls; may assist by calling to set up appointments or arrange hospital tests or admissions</li>\n <li>Completes paperwork such as refilling medication, ordering lab tests, x-rays, school/work notes, FMLA, etc.</li>\n <li>Assessing patients and determining priority and referring for emergency care</li>\n <li>Counsels’ patients concerning lifestyle modifications, medication regimens, side effects, and interactions using an appropriate psychosocial communication level</li>\n <li>Communicates to patients and office coordinators follow-up appointments, ancillary and/or pre-operative testing and scheduling needed for patient</li>\n <li>Coordinates ordering of tests/procedures with other clinical staff</li>\n <li>Respond to patient questions and concerns as liaison between physician and patient</li>\n <li>Developing office protocols and training documents</li>\n <li>Reports all test results to the patient as directed by the physician</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required</li>\n <li>State of Illinois RN or LPN License required</li>\n <li>BLS certification required</li>\n <li>At least one year of working experience as a nurse required</li>\n <li>Athena EMR experience highly preferred </li>\n <li>OB/GYN experience preferred, but not required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Why Together Women’s Health (TWH)?</strong></p>\n<p>Because we do things a bit differently here.
