We are looking for a Construction Manager Trainee to join our team in the Birmingham, Alabama metro area. This position will assist the Construction Manager<strong>&nbsp;</strong>in the completion of homes to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, cost control, and customer satisfaction.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li>Oversee community in Construction Manager&rsquo;s (CM) absence (i.e. weekly meetings, vacation, illness, homeowner orientations, etc.)</li></ol><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Meet with County/City Inspectors if builder is unavailable</li><li>Call in inspections in Construction Manager&rsquo;s absence</li><li>Send the request to move schedules to Area Manager</li></ul><ol start=\"2\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li>Assist CM with punch-out of homes for QC walks and Homeowner sign offs.</li><li>Meet with and sign off on deliveries of materials when needed</li><li>Water lawns (seasonal)&nbsp;</li><li>Attend Quality Assurance walk and follow up to ensure Quality Assurance checklist is completed</li><li>Assist with Homeowner Orientation Sign off&nbsp;</li><li>Keep all drive barricades in place</li><li>Unlock and lock homes daily</li><li>Assist CM in assuring all punch out and homeowner walk items are signed off and completed BEFORE closing.</li><li>Oversee building and painting of permit boards</li><li>Post building permit cards</li><li>Adjust/clean out water meter boxes so municipality will set meters</li><li>Aid CM to ensure job site cleanliness</li><li>Assist with any community maintenance as need (mowing lawn)</li><li>Attend and perform inspections</li></ol><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Slab</li><li>Foundation</li><li>Framing</li><li>Post-Mechanical</li><li>Final</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Minimum Job Requirements:</strong></p><p><u>Education</u>: High School, College: Construction Management degree helpful.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><u>Experience</u>: Residential construction or similar industry is helpful.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Mental/Reasoning Requirements:</strong></p>&nbsp;<div class=\"fr-page-break\" contenteditable=\"false\" style=\"break-after: always;\" data-title=\"PageBreak\"><div class=\"fr-page-break-line\"><span class=\"fr-page-break-label\">Page Break</span></div></div>&nbsp;<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li>Reading&nbsp;</li><li>Writing&nbsp;</li><li>Basic Math Skills</li></ul>&nbsp;<div class=\"fr-page-break\" contenteditable=\"false\" style=\"break-after: always;\" data-title=\"PageBreak\"><div class=\"fr-page-break-line\"><span class=\"fr-page-break-label\">Page Break</span></div></div>&nbsp;<p><br></p><p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p>&nbsp;<div class=\"fr-page-break\" contenteditable=\"false\" style=\"break-after: always;\" data-title=\"PageBreak\"><div class=\"fr-page-break-line\"><span class=\"fr-page-break-label\">Page Break</span></div></div>&nbsp;<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li>Works Alone</li><li>Works w/others</li><li>Verbal contact w/others</li><li>Works outdoors</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Social/Interpersonal Traits:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li>Initiative</li><li>Good communication skills&nbsp;</li><li>Customer orientation</li><li>Detail oriented</li><li>Ability to prioritize multiple tasks</li></ul></div>\n",
