This position is responsible for the safe repair and maintenance of amusement rides and park facilities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What's In It for You?</strong>💸Full-Time, Hourly overtime eligible position and you get paid weekly!🤝🏽This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement🩺Benefit options include, but are not limited to: Medical, Dental, Vision, Accident Insurance, and Group Auto and Home📈Retirement Benefits Include: 401k, Roth 401k, Stock Purchase Program, and Stock Options💰Company Paid Life Insurance and AD&D is covered at 100%🎫Exclusive employee perks including a pass to all Six Flags Parks, employee parties/events, and regional attraction admission</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Inspect rides and attractions, and notifying management of any and all hazards that may endanger guests or employees</li>\n <li>Perform the ride inspection and maintenance programs in accordance with the standards set by Six Flags, Ride Manufacturers, ASTM and the State of Georgia.</li>\n <li>Maintain, erect, and repair various theme park rides and park facilities.</li>\n <li>Make repairs to roofs, fences, buildings, concrete walkways and wooden roller coasters</li>\n <li>Construct various small items which may include, but are not limited to: shelving, fences, storage units, event booths, sign frames, tables, cabinets, etc.</li>\n <li>Visually inspect wooden roller coasters.</li>\n <li>Remove and /or replace various wooden roller coaster components using hand or power tools</li>\n <li>Work as part of an assigned crew performing rough and finish carpentry.</li>\n <li>Read and interpret drawings and schematics as provided</li>\n <li>Keep a daily duty log of maintenance work performed as well as accurate records of preventative maintenance</li>\n <li>Respond to work orders and conduct carpentry repairs as required to maintain safe park operation.</li>\n <li>Adhere to park policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Pay Range: $30.12-$40.16</strong> per hour (depending on level of experience). Work in excess of 40 hours per week is paid at 1.5x standard pay rate</p>\n<p><strong>Other Functions: </strong>All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.  While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the requirements of the job, management reserves the right to add or remove duties when circumstances (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs, or technological developments) dictate. </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Three to five years of carpentry experience</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of carpentry best practices and proper construction methods</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge and experience with hand/power tools and shop equipment</li>\n <li>Ability to meet deadlines</li>\n <li>Ability to professionally interact with other shops and various departments.</li>\n <li>Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers and park management.</li>\n <li>Ability to write, speak and comprehend English.</li>\n <li>Able to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting up to 100 lbs, bending, standing for long periods of time, climbing, and working at heights up to 200 ft.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.</li>\n <li>Ability to work outside in any weather conditions, nights, weekends and holidays.</li>\n <li>Valid Drivers’ License and clean DMV report.</li>\n <li>Employees are required to supply their own hand tools.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Equal Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
