Our professionals encounter new assignments that provide opportunities to learn, grow and understand how businesses operate.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The <span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Tax Manager</em> </span>works directly with all levels of the firm, including closely with Associates, Senior Associates, Supervisors and fellow Managers, to build client relationship through tax and services the firm provides. The <em>Tax Manager </em>demonstrates professional creativity in dealing with client matters and make constructive suggestions to improve client operations with leadership. The <em>Tax Manager </em>will have strong communication with staff and the client to effectively prepare tax returns, lead teams, resolve complicated issues and exemplify Rushton's values. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fast Partner track</li>\n<li>Strong technical skills for review complex returns; state nexus and challenging tax issue, international and/or fiduciary tax a plus. <br></li>\n<li>Handles client relationship and communication</li>\n<li>Ability to do technical research and document to support conclusion.</li>\n<li>Demonstrates ability to manage the preparation and review process of complex returns in a timely and efficient manner.</li>\n<li>Resolves complicated tax issues.</li>\n<li>Handles client matters with department and decision makers.</li>\n<li>Prepares review notes and trains staff.</li>\n<li>Demonstrates strong technical knowledge.</li>\n<li>Is aware of status on staff work prior to planning meetings.</li>\n<li>Manages budgets and billing center.</li>\n<li>Team player as part of Tax Department Leadership Team for internal strategic planning and processes</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>BA/BS in Accounting</span></li>\n<li><span>Masters Degree in Taxation or Accounting</span></li>\n<li><span>Professional certification required (CPA or EA)</span></li>\n<li><span>5+ years of experience with preparing individual and corporate tax returns</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<ul></ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Strong communication and relationship building skills</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to manage project timelines and proficiency utilizing accounting technology</span></li>\n<li><span>Availability to work overtime during peak periods throughout the year</span></li>\n<li><span>Successful completion of a background check</span></li>\n<li><span>Valid credentials to work in the U.S.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">LET’S TALK BENEFITS</span><br>We are proud to offer our employees a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, including 401(K), 401(K) matching, Health, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, Unlimited PTO, personal financial planning services from our in-house financial planner.
