    "description": "<p><strong>Definition/Scope:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<p>Provides instruction for the New Employee Orientation Program (NEOP) and EMS Academy programs. Conducts continuing education for certification, licensure, and renewals. Utilize a recordkeeping system to track employee training participation and progress. Assists in other tasks associated with training programs. Coordinates and tracks participation in outside training activities. May coordinate or administer skill or competency assessments, and other specialized training or development programs for employees.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Specific Duties:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Demonstrates complete knowledge, understanding and compliance of company policies and procedures.</li>\r\n\t<li>Responsible for instructing new employee orientation program (NEOP), to include field training officer program including CEVO/EVOC drivers training.</li>\r\n\t<li>Responsible for scheduling and conducting required clinical continuing education courses to include CPR, ACLS, EMT refresher, etc.</li>\r\n\t<li>Responsible for assisting with scheduling, coordinating, and conducting EMS Academy program either &ldquo;In House&rdquo; or on a contracted basis with outside educational institutions (EMT &amp; Paramedic).</li>\r\n\t<li>Actively participate in recruitment through involvement in local EMS classes, conferences, and career days.</li>\r\n\t<li>Adheres to Universal Precautions/Body Substance Isolation when dealing with patient contacts. Is familiar with and practices the Infection Control policies and procedures of the company.</li>\r\n\t<li>Responsible for supporting and ensuring that all field staff maintain appropriate certification and licensure for their position to include continuing education.</li>\r\n\t<li>Responsible for participating in activities to improve field staff documentation.</li>\r\n\t<li>Assist in creation and revision of Patient Care Protocols.</li>\r\n\t<li>Responsible for assisting with audits of patient care reports to ensure compliance with local medical protocol, works in coordination with Education &amp; Training Manager, CQI officer, and Operations Manager to provide feedback to field staff.</li>\r\n\t<li>Accepts responsibility for recertification as an EMT or current level of licensure, and for other required licenses and certifications as required by company, local, regional, and state policies, regulations, or laws.</li>\r\n\t<li>Always maintains security and privacy of all company and patient information in accordance HIPPA and all other local, state, and federal regulations.</li>\r\n\t<li>Acts always with his/her personal safety in mind, as well as the safety of others.</li>\r\n\t<li>Reports to assigned shifts on time, properly groomed in uniform and on time unless the proper notification has been made.
