Logan Place 1st shift Caseworker Logan Place, a Preble Street Housing First program, provides housing and 24-hour comprehensive, supportive services for 30 adults who have experienced chronic homelessness. Logan Place has been a model for a real solution to the problem of homelessness in our communities since 2005, based on the principles that everyone deserves housing and the support necessary to maintain it. Logan Place currently has an available Caseworker position with a daytime, Sunday through Thursday schedule. This direct service position provides casework services, outreaches and engages with tenants, provides program coverage and maintains safety in program spaces, and provides crisis intervention and support, to assist tenants in maintaining housing stability. The schedule for this position is Sunday-Thursday 7am-3:30pm Qualifications Qualifications include experience providing direct services to people experiencing homelessness, or comparable combination of education and relevant experience. Additional qualifications include an understanding of and alignment with Preble Street’s mission, positive regard for individuals accessing services for homelessness and poverty, and a commitment to providing low-barrier services. Also required are strong communication, de-escalation, and crisis intervention skills; familiarity with community resources; strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain documentation of services; ability to work effectively with and maintain professional boundaries with diverse populations; and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Compensation and Benefits The hourly rate of pay for this full-time (40 hours/week) position is $23.12 per hour, plus applicable shift differentials. As a direct service position in a 24/7 program, this position is eligible for shift differentials of $1 per hour for all hours actually worked between the hours of 7:00am and 10:00pm.
