Description

Overview Responsible for supporting hiring efforts and recruiting initiatives through full-cycle recruitment. Works with recruitment team and various hiring managers to achieve staffing objectives through evaluating and vetting candidates. Responsibilities Maintain and update the applicant tracking system to ensure accurate candidate records, hiring activity, and recruitment documentation. Conduct outbound calls, emails, text messages, and other candidate outreach efforts to engage qualified applicants and maintain communication throughout the hiring process. Determines applicant qualifications by initial phone interviews; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements. Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers while ensuring a positive and professional candidate experience. Source and attract candidates by posting job advertisements on online job boards, social media platforms, networking channels, and other recruiting resources. Develop and prepare professional correspondence and responses to applicants regarding application status, interview scheduling, and employment opportunities. Provide regular updates and recruiting status reports on open positions, candidate pipelines, and hiring activity to recruiters and hiring managers. Coordinate and participate in career fairs, hiring events, community outreach programs, and recruitment initiatives to promote employment opportunities and attract qualified candidates. Assist in general clerical duties as assigned, including applicant tracking. Qualifications Associates Degree or combination or education and experience Knowledge of maritime transportation industry is a plus. Positive, energetic, and professional attitude with the ability to create a welcoming and engaging experience for candidates, employees, and external contacts. Experience utilizing social media and digital recruiting platforms, including LinkedIn, Indeed, Facebook, and Instagram to source, attract, and engage candidates. Ability to create and post compelling job advertisements and recruitment-related content across social media channels and online job boards. Familiarity with social media recruiting strategies, candidate engagement techniques, and employment branding initiatives. Interviewing Skills, Recruiting, People Skills, Supports Diversity, Knowledge of Employment Law. Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and iCIMS Applicant Tracking preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with others using professionalism, courtesy, tact, discretion, and sound judgment. Professional appearance, conduct, written communication, and telephone etiquette are essential. Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive communications. Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions. Excellent inter-personal skills, organizational skills and communication. Clear understanding of recruitment lifecycle process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, scheduling, onboarding coordination, and candidate communication. Job Condition and Environment Primarily operates in a professional office environment. Required to sit for long periods of time. Infrequent light physical effort required. Must have reliable transportation Expected Hours of Work Normal office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday can be flexible in-office or remote, however it may be required to be in office on Fridays, as needed. Additional hours beyond the normal work schedule may occasionally be required to meet staffing demands, recruiting deadlines, hiring events, or departmental objectives. Centerline Logistics operates on the United States West Coast (including Alaska and Hawaii), United States East Coast (including Puerto Rico), the United States Gulf Coast and the Mississippi River System.
