Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially driven Account Executive to expand Daon’s footprint across the UK and Ireland, with a primary focus on new business acquisition (new logos).
This role is centred on identifying, engaging, and converting new opportunities within target markets, building a strong pipeline, and driving deals through to close. While there is some exposure to existing accounts, the core focus of the role is hunting for new business and driving revenue growth.
Based in Dublin (hybrid, 3 days per week in office) with approximately 20% travel across the UK, this role offers high visibility and direct exposure to senior leadership, including the VP of UK & Ireland and the Head of Sales for EMEA & APAC.
You will operate in a lean, high-impact environment where your contribution directly influences market expansion and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development (Primary Focus – New Logos)
Identify, target, and engage prospective clients across the UK & Ireland
Build, manage, and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities
Lead outbound prospecting and develop strategic approaches to target key accounts
Qualify opportunities and progress deals through the full sales cycle
Collaborate with Pre-Sales and Product teams to effectively position Daon’s TrustX platform
Lead or contribute to proposals, RFP responses, and commercial negotiations
Account Growth & Expansion
Identify and drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
Support the development and execution of account plans alongside senior stakeholders
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Partner closely with the VP of UK & Ireland and Sales Directors to execute market expansion strategies
Support the Head of Sales for EMEA & APAC in advancing strategic opportunities
Participate in senior stakeholder meetings and networking events, particularly in Dublin and the UK
Work cross-functionally with Pre-Sales, Product, Delivery, and Support teams to deliver strong client outcomes.
Account Management (Secondary Focus)
Maintain and develop relationships within a defined portfolio of accounts
Support account reviews and ensure ongoing client engagement and satisfaction
Operational & Commercial Discipline
Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and reporting
Ensure consistent follow-up on opportunities and key actions
Support contract renewals and commercial processes as required
Knowledge & Experience
3–7 years’ experience in a Sales, Business Development, or Account Executive role within a technology or SaaS environment
Proven ability to generate pipeline and close new business (new logos)
Experience selling into B2B enterprise or mid-market clients
Strong understanding of complex sales cycles and stakeholder management
Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
Exposure to identity, security, or SaaS solutions is advantageous
