East West Bank gives people the confidence to reach further.\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Senior Asset Resolution Specialist is responsible for the collection of overdue payments for Single Family Loans, Home Equity Lines of Credit and Credit Cards while minimizing collection costs and loan losses on assigned accounts.  This role conducts timely and effective collection follow-up in varying stages, and on accounts where a potential for risk to the Bank is evident.  This position is open for additional responsibility which could include monitoring Bankruptcies, initiating Notice of Defaults and processing  Foreclosures.  The specialist must follow and ensure compliance with all regulatory compliance requirements and provide statistical reporting. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Make collection calls on delinquent SFR mortgage, home equity lines of credit (HELOC) and credit cards obtaining reason for delinquency.</li>\n <li>Verify customer contact information and accurately document conversation into the collections servicing systems. </li>\n <li>Assist customers in setting payment arrangements while adhering to the Fair Debt Collections Practice Act (FDCPA) and internal policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with state, federal regulations, and investor guidelines.</li>\n <li>Monitor Bankruptcy (BK) filings on an as needed basis to support the Bankruptcy and Foreclosure Specialists. </li>\n <li>Handle the foreclosure process for mortgage, HELOC and investor delinquent mortgage loans, including Notice of Intent, Notice of Default, foreclosure bid, etc. as needed. </li>\n <li>Interact with inside and outside attorneys when legal issues arise on foreclosures, bankruptcy or pending litigation and settlement agreements if needed.</li>\n <li>May perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and work experience required.</li>\n <li>5-7+ years of mortgage or other default experience with background in loss mitigations solutions, bankruptcy, and foreclosure.</li>\n <li>Requires an in-depth knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) as well as Fair Lending and Fair Housing Acts</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Fannie Mae investor guidelines for servicing past due loans</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Prefer Experience in Black Knight (MSP) and FIS systems preferred.</li>\n <li>Professional working proficiency in Mandarin and or Cantonese is a plus.</li>\n <li>Proficient with Microsoft suite of office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Vision</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
