We offer a unique combination of government experience and facilities expertise that has helped us earn a position as one of the country’s leading integrated service providers.</p>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p><strong>EMCOR Government Services is seeking a HVAC Tour Mechanic in Herndon, This position monitors, troubleshoots and maintains equipment in Central Utility Plant and Dulles Discovery buildings. The Schedule is a Rotating Shift Schedule. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#EGS</p>\n<p>#LI-NS1</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Monitor site operations through the BMCS control system.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Assist with the maintenance of site equipment and building structure.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Assist General Maintenance Workers with the maintenance and repairs of the building air systems on the site.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Assist with the troubleshooting of all equipment on site.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Perform preventive maintenance of all equipment on site.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Institute the corrective action and / or inform their supervisor on any deficiencies found while performing the job.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Supervise Plumbers and General Maintenance Workers as directed by their supervisor.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Monitor Subcontractors in their task and provide reports when needed.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Perform other tasks as directed by their supervisor.</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>CFC Universal</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Journeyman HVAC License, or Md. Class 1 Engineers, or DC 3rd, or equivalent.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Must have Mechanical Electrical Experience</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Three (3) or more years’ experience in maintenance and repairs on Commercial-Industrial building equipment to include but not limited to:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Chillers =/+500 tons                         </strong></li>\n   <li><strong>Pumps                  </strong></li>\n   <li><strong>Air Handlers                                                  </strong></li>\n   <li><strong>Cooling Towers                 </strong></li>\n   <li><strong>Heat Exchangers                    </strong></li>\n   <li><strong>VAV’s                                          </strong></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Demonstrate the ability to read and understand Blueprints, schematics and specifications.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of Chiller Plant Operations.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of Building Air Systems.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Must be willing to work rotating shift schedule</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Must be able to obtain and maintain an ISSA TS/SCI w/Poly Clearance</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Heavy physical effort (lift / carry up to 50 lbs. / push up to 100 lbs.)</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Prolong, extensive, or considerable standing / walking.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Push / pull or move / lift equipment, supplies, parts.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Manual dexterity and mobility</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
