Sunliner Diner is now hiring friendly, upbeat, and service-minded individuals to join our Orange Beach team. Here, you’ll find a workplace where positivity, support, and teamwork are always on the menu. Position Summary: The Retail Worker in a restaurant setting is responsible for assisting guests with purchases of merchandise, take-home food items, and branded products. This role ensures a welcoming customer experience, maintains organized displays, and handles transactions efficiently in the retail area. Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist customers in the retail section of the restaurant. Provide product information and answer guest questions about merchandise and to-go items. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process sales accurately and efficiently. Restock shelves, displays, and storage areas with merchandise and supplies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retail space. Set up attractive displays and rotate products as needed. Assist with inventory counts and notify management of low stock or discrepancies. Package and label to-go items or gift products as required. Follow all cash handling, safety, and sanitation procedures. Provide exceptional guest service aligned with the restaurant’s overall experience. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Previous retail or customer service experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math and POS system skills. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
