Position Summary The Grant Administrator supports YWCA Utah's fundraising goals by researching, writing, and managing grant applications across public and private funding sources. This role  is responsible for  the full  grants  lifecycle, from prospecting and application through reporting and compliance, and works closely with the Director of Development, Chief Development Officer, Finance, and Program staff to ensure  accurate  and  timely  grant administration. This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented, mission-driven writer who is energized by complex funding environments and collaborative work.   This position includes a 90-day probationary period, during which performance will be reviewed. Essential Responsibilities Grant Writing and Applications Research and  identify  public and private grant opportunities aligned with YWCA Utah's programs and priorities Write compelling,  accurate , and  timely  grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and applications Maintain a grants calendar and ensure all deadlines are met Tailor applications to funder priorities while  maintaining  consistency with YWCA Utah's mission and voice Grant Reporting and Compliance Prepare interim and final grant reports  in accordance with  funder requirements Coordinate with Finance and Program staff to gather  accurate  financial and programmatic data for reporting Track grant terms, conditions, and deliverables to ensure full compliance Support coordination on public grant spending and bill-out processes in partnership with Finance Funder Stewardship and Relationship Support Support the CDO and Director of Development in  maintaining  relationships with current and prospective funders Assist  with funder communications, acknowledgments, and stewardship as directed Maintain  accurate  and current funder records in Raiser's Edge Support cultivation and stewardship of corporate partners and sponsors in collaboration with the Director of Development Competencies & Essential Skills: Problem Solving/Analytical Thinker:  Ability to solve and analyze problems effectively and efficiently. Communication/Interpersonal Skills:  Ability to provide exceptional customer service to supporters, partners, board  members  and co-workers .   Exceptional communication skills and ability to respond to  difficult situations . Qualifications Required 3+ years of grant writing experience, including both public and private funding sources Demonstrated  track record  of successful grant applications Strong research, writing, and editing skills with high attention to detail Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously and work collaboratively across departments Proficiency  with Microsoft Office and donor management or grants tracking systems Commitment to YWCA Utah's mission to  eliminate  racism and empower women Must be able to pass a Department of Health and Human Services background check, E-Verify, and i9 requirements. Preferred Experience with federal or state public grant programs, including compliance and reporting requirements Familiarity with Raiser's Edge or similar CRM Experience in a direct service, advocacy, or social justice organization Knowledge of Utah's public and philanthropic funding landscape Physical/Sensory Demands The role is primarily office-based with occasional evening or weekend commitments for events and volunteer activities.
