Based in South Louisiana, DDI offers clearing, access, site preparation, logistics, and storm response services throughout North America.</p><p><strong>Civil Carpenter:</strong></p><p>The civil carpenter is responsible for constructing, erecting, repairing, and dismantling built-in-place or prefabricated forms for concrete structures or foundations, pouring and finishing of concrete, in a safe and quality manner.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrates good work practices through compliance and support for all site safety and health rules and guidelines.</li><li>Reviews construction drawings, sketches, building plans, and specifications for information pertaining to requirements and dimensions.</li><li>Measures, marks, and arrange materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.</li><li>Cuts and shape wood, concrete, and other construction materials using hand and power tools.</li><li>Assemble, install, maintain, and repair structures, including concrete forms, frameworks and other components of heavy civil infrastructure.</li><li>Joins materials with the most appropriate nail, screw, staple or adhesive.</li><li>Ensures accuracy or work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares, and corrects problems as needed.</li><li>Create wooden forms for pouring concrete or for tunnels, bridges, building foundations, sewer construction projects or large industrial structures.</li><li>May spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel or screed and float.</li><li>Knowledge of construction terminology.</li><li>Basic rigging knowledge.</li><li>Maintains a clean and orderly work environment and maintains job site housekeeping.</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned by their supervisors.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
