They are responsible for the work and conduct of the crew to which the crew leader is assigned. The crew leader is expected to be an example and to lead as such.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Duties &amp; Functions</strong></u>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Maintain construction schedules with the superintendent.&nbsp;</li><li>Drive Company work truck to and from worksites, obeying traffic laws.&nbsp;</li><li>Meet periodically with each crew member to ensure that they understand proper and safe company practices.&nbsp;</li><li>These meetings may include but are not limited to instructions on safety guidelines, proper field procedures, correctly filling out time sheets and work sheets among other items.&nbsp;</li><li>Correctly fill out time sheets and work sheets that contain necessary information for the superintendent and office staff needs in order to invoice the work and complete payroll.</li><li>Review the status of the equipment for their crew. If this equipment is not properly maintained, he or she will identify what needs to be addressed and work with the superintendent and mechanics to make sure proper maintenance or repair is performed as soon as possible.
