    "description": "<p><span style=\"color: #008080; font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">PRIMARY FUNCTIONS</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Teach adult English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to refugee students from a variety of backgrounds (approx. 20 hours of classroom instruction per week).</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Support <em>For the Nations’</em> (FTN) ESL Department by: planning ESL lessons; grading student work; brainstorming and implementing assessment materials and practices for incoming and current students; helping develop curriculum and teaching materials. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Serve in a missional capacity by developing personal relationships with students and visiting them and their families (especially when in need).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Help further the mission of <em>For the Nations</em> (with a focus on adult education): <em>To serve refugee families by providing education and acculturation services that meet both short- and long-term needs, and to share with them the gospel of Jesus Christ</em></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080; font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">OTHER POSSIBLE FUNCTIONS</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Help with after-school tutoring programs for children</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Teach reading and other educational classes for children during the summer </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Provide transportation services to refugee families</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Assist families personally and in connection with our Family Services Department</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Support other FTN programs as needed</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080; font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Committed Christian</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Willing to raise individual support for annual salary* </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Passion for helping people</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Bachelor’s degree </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Management and teaching experience</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Excellent intercultural and interpersonal communication skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Strong written and verbal skills</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Flexible, self-motivated</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Good at working in teams &amp; independently, and at delegating tasks to volunteers</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080; font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">A background in TESL/TESOL</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Strong administrative, computer, and organizational skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Experience in working with nonprofits and/or ministries</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Experience working with diverse and/or international communities</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>*We are currently <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">unable </span>to sponsor work visas</em></p>",
