Our mission is simple: deliver high-quality, compassionate care while creating a positive experience for both pets and their people. Our hospital is thoughtfully equipped to support excellent medicine, including a newly constructed dental suite, dedicated surgical suite, and access to advanced training opportunities in ultrasound and dentistry. Plus, you’re just a short drive from Chicago, Naperville, and Joliet—making it easy to enjoy everything from quiet weekends to big-city adventures. 💼 What You’ll Love AAHA-accredited, high-standard facility Flexible scheduling that supports work-life balance Light and manageable on-call structure: Rotates every 3–4 weeks (Mon–Fri, 5pm–9pm) Calls are pre-screened and limited to existing clients Majority handled via phone triage (rare in-person visits) Strong partnerships with local veterinary technician programs Loyal, established client base that values quality care Stable leadership and a supportive, team-first culture Active involvement in the local community Essential Responsibilities Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries. Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results. Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options. Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed. Provide counsel around pet end of life care. Maintain patients’ medical records. Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures. Requirements/Qualifications DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution. Appropriate state licensure. Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients. Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
