The analyst position is a matrixed role that will work across the organization to ensure accurate performance tracking and reporting to senior leadership and the FirstEnergy Board’s Operations and Safety Committee, support strategic decision-making, and drive operational excellence through data-driven insights.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting frameworks for utility performance (KPIs, SLAs, benchmarks).</li>\n <li>Lead regular performance reviews, analyze trends, and present actionable insights to senior leadership.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely and accurate data collection from utility operations, finance, engineering, and customer service teams.</li>\n <li>Identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to streamline processes.</li>\n <li>Design dashboards, scorecards, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.</li>\n <li>Identify opportunities for operational improvement through trend analysis, benchmarking, KPIs, and performance metrics.</li>\n <li>Lead the development of automated reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.</li>\n <li>Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and sustainability of performance initiatives.</li>\n <li>Serve as a subject matter expert on performance metrics related to utility operations.</li>\n <li>Draft, review, and update board level presentations, reports, and pre-read materials in coordination with subject matter experts.</li>\n <li>Develop effective working relationships with all levels of employees at FirstEnergy.</li>\n <li>Handle the development of multiple, high-priority reports and presentations, and incorporation of senior leadership feedback, with quick turnarounds.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications at the Advanced Business Analyst level:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, or related field</li>\n <li>Minimum 4 years related work experience in utility operations, performance analytics, or data reporting</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience in leading others and collaborating cross functionally</li>\n <li>Strong analytical skills with proficiency in reporting tools (Power BI, TOAD, QlikView, Tableau, Excel, SQL, PowerPoint)</li>\n <li>Knowledge of utility industry standards, metrics, and regulatory requirements</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills</li>\n <li>Ability to think strategically and own data-driven decision making, with a continuous improvement mindset</li>\n <li>Demonstrated skills in collaboration and communication, including presenting to executive leadership</li>\n <li>Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities</li>\n <li>Excellent time management skills</li>\n <li>Ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><strong>Qualifications at the Senior Business Analyst level:</strong></p>\n<p>All of the above, plus:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, or related field</li>\n <li>Minimum 7 years related work experience in utility operations, performance analytics, or data reporting</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Benefits, Compensation &amp; Workforce Diversity</strong><br><br>\n At FirstEnergy, employees are key to our success.
