The Senior BI Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive reports/dashboards and data pipelines that empower stakeholders across the organization to make data-driven decisions. As a key contributor, you will balance technical expertise with a business-first mindset, driving continuous value through iterative development and close collaboration with stakeholders </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Shermco Industries is seeking a Senior BI Engineer</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>End-to-End BI Development\n  <ul>\n   <li>Design, develop, and deploy BI solutions, including data pipelines, models, and reports.</li>\n   <li>Manage the full report lifecycle, from data ingestion to publication, documentation, and training.</li>\n   <li>Implement robust data models using Power BI, focusing on scalability, accuracy, and performance.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Data Exploration and Documentation\n  <ul>\n   <li>Reverse engineer processes and logic to document and improve existing reporting workflows.</li>\n   <li>Create and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary and catalog for the organization’s data estate.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Business Enablement and Collaboration\n  <ul>\n   <li>Partner with stakeholders across all business areas to understand requirements and identify Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for rapid development.</li>\n   <li>Translate business needs into actionable KPIs, metrics, and visualizations that drive decision-making.</li>\n   <li>Provide training and support to business users to promote self-service analytics.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Technology and Process Alignment\n  <ul>\n   <li>Leverage Microsoft Fabric features to optimize data pipelines and reporting infrastructure.</li>\n   <li>Utilize the Microsoft Technology Stack (365, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) to streamline collaboration and workflows.</li>\n   <li>Work within Agile development practices, including sprint planning, task tracking, and collaboration using tools like Jira.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Continuous Improvement\n  <ul>\n   <li>Lead efforts to track, standardize, and improve organizational metrics/KPI reporting.</li>\n   <li>Implement best practices for BI development, including version control, governance, and documentation.</li>\n   <li>Proactively identify and address gaps in data quality, reporting processes, or infrastructure scalability.</li>\n   <li>Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in data and BI.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Education and Experience:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field.</li>\n   <li>Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data modeling and report development.</li>\n   <li>Relevant certifications and/or advanced degrees a plus</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Technical Skills:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Extensive experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, report creation, and publishing.</li>\n   <li>Expertise in designing and implementing data and BI solutions, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and dashboards.</li>\n   <li>Experience with Microsoft Fabric and other tools in the Microsoft Stack (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate, Azure Data Factory, Power Query, etc).</li>\n   <li>Strong understanding of data ethics, governance, and quality standards.</li>\n   <li>Proficiency in SQL required, Python is a plus</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Leadership and Communication:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Fundamental leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and coach junior data and BI professionals.</li>\n   <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex data and BI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to apply BI techniques to solve real-world problems.</li>\n   <li>Ability to think creatively and innovatively, and keep up with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in data and BI.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong></strong><p><strong>EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER | DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE</strong></p><p>Shermco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
