Set Shifts: 40 Hours Biweekly, Every Other Weekend Required 11:00am-2:00pm 4:00pm-7:15pm 9:30am-6:00pm 7:00am-3:30pm IL WAIT STAFF JOB DESCRIPTION Applies basic skills appropriate for the position. Focuses on excellent customer service and customer satisfaction. Ability to effectively communicate with resident/customer and receive information to enable enhanced service. Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Major Responsibilities, Duties, Functions, and Tasks of the Position Follows HACCP procedures while performing pre-service prep work and post-service work Serves food to residents/customers at a multiple number of tables, using proper rules of etiquette ie: proper introduction, knowledge of menu, offering beverages/refills, checking back with customer for satisfaction, attentive to needs, answering questions regarding food preparation and communicating customer concerns to kitchen staff Maintains table settings according to learned procedures to providing expected quality atmosphere in a restaurant style setting. Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment Participates as a team player, assisting co-workers with completion of job tasks, providing exceptional service, assisting in clearing and resetting tables Typically meets additional needs of the resident through room service preparation and delivery, communicating any concerns to the DRM. Actively participates in special function/special meal activities and shares ideas for future functions. Performs day to day assignments in addition to lead duties May assist others in preparation of foods and the proper storage of foods Immediately report resident related care concerns about treatment or abuse to the Department Supervisor as well as the Executive Director of the facility Interact with Team Members, Residents, and Guests in a courteous and professional manner Be accountable for all information in the Team Member Handbook Maintain confidentiality of resident, Team Member, family and facility information Understand and upholds Resident Rights Follow each Residents Plan of Care Follow oral and written instructions for all duties assigned and performed in an effective, timely and professional manner Complete assigned tasks in accordance with organization, facility, and department procedures Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Use supplies in an efficient and cost effective manner Ensure equipment is treated with proper care and is used only for the purposes and in accordance for which it was designed to be used for Follow facility reporting guidelines for any equipment that is not functioning properly or is need of repair Use Infection control practices, including Standard Precautions, to prevent the spread of diseases Maintain cleanliness of work area Perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, as directed Complete all documentation per facility protocol and Standards of Practice Follow all IT protocols, including submission of Sysaids, for all technology related issues Answer call bells and assist as able Conduct Expected of a Team Member in the Position Interpersonal and Resident Relations: Interacts effectively with others and actively participates as a committed team member. Following Policies and Procedures: Follows Company and departmental policies and procedures. This includes Federal, state, and local requirements and regulations; safety policies and procedures; the team member handbook; properly storing and disposing regulated medical waste; maintaining a clean and orderly workspace; dresses in proper attire; upholding ethical standards; and maintaining privacy and confidentiality of personal information of residents and team members. Work Orientation: Ensures that work activities are completed thoroughly, accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner ensuring quality standards are met. This includes taking the initiative to complete job tasks; working without close supervision; being committed, reliable, trusted, and accountable for completing work activities; regularly and dependably being at work on time (i.e. good punctuality); and willingness to accept schedule changes or work additional hours as required by the company.
