    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>JOB PURPOSE:</strong></p><p>The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring production machinery to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing. This position oversees multiple machines, performs in-process inspections, and supports picker/packers as needed. The Machine Operator maintains smooth production flow by performing basic maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and adhering to all safety and quality standards.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Operate and monitor multiple machines during production runs.</li><li>Perform in-process inspections of products to verify compliance with quality standards.</li><li>Monitor production efficiency and report performance or mechanical issues.</li><li>Address line stoppages and perform immediate troubleshooting to correct issues.</li><li>Conduct scheduled maintenance and minor machine repairs.</li><li>Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and SQF/ISO regulations.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.</li><li>Assist with training and guidance of new or temporary employees.</li><li>Support other production and packaging operations as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</strong>:</p><ul><li>Proven experience as machine operator or setup technician</li><li>Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)</li><li>High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>SKILLS:</strong></p><ul><li>Machine operation and troubleshooting proficiency.</li><li>Basic mechanical aptitude for preventive maintenance.</li><li>Strong understanding of quality control and production standards.</li><li>Ability to identify defects or process issues quickly.</li><li>Good organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>Team-oriented attitude with clear communication on the production floor.</li><li>Commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Basic computer literacy for production data entry and reporting.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:</strong></p><ul><li>Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout shift.</li><li>Frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling of materials up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Manual dexterity to operate controls and handle small parts.</li><li>Exposure to moderate noise levels, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.</li><li>Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and hairnets.</li><li>Work performed primarily on the production floor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><em>Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.</em></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>PERFORMANCE AND BEHAVIORAL ATTRIBUTES:</strong></p><p>Safety and Compliance</p><ul><li>Consistently follows safety procedures and PPE requirements.</li><li>Reports hazards or equipment issues immediately.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Quality and Accuracy</p><ul><li>Perform thorough inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.</li><li>Identifies and corrects issues before they affect production output.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Accountability and Ownership</p><ul><li>Take responsibility for assigned machines and shift performance.</li><li>Maintains accurate production and inspection records.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Efficiency and Time Management</p><ul><li>Maximizes productivity while minimizing downtime.</li><li>Balances quality and speed to meet production goals.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Teamwork and Communication</p><ul><li>Collaborate effectively with peers, leads, and supervisors.</li><li>Shares information and assists others as needed.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Reliability and Professionalism</p><ul><li>Maintains consistent attendance and punctuality.</li><li>Demonstrates professionalism and positive attitude on the floor.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Continuous Improvement</p><ul><li>Actively contributes ideas to improve machine performance and efficiency.</li><li>Adapts to process changes and new technologies quickly.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>At-Will Employment:</strong> This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
