Learn more about our <a href=\"https://hrportal.ehr.com/applied/\" target=\"_blank\"><span><u>benefits</u></span></a>. </p><p></p><p>We are currently looking for a<b> HSE Safety</b><b><b> </b>Engineer </b>(Health, Safety &amp; Environment), based in <b>Agrate Brianza (MB)</b> office (Hybrid).</p><div></div><p><b>General Requirements</b></p><p>The EHS Safety Engineer will support the Applied Materials teams based in Italy and will manage the <b>Health &amp; Safety Protection Service</b> primarily for the <b>Agrate manufacturing site</b>, but also for <b>Catania</b>, while participating in international projects within the global team.</p><p></p><p>The role will ensure the development and implementation of HSE programs aimed at assessing and minimizing risks for Applied Materials&#39; employees, the environment, and the community.</p><p></p><p><b>Key EHS programs include:</b></p><ul><li>Respiratory Protection Program</li><li>Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)</li><li>Chemical Authorization Program</li><li>Management of Change (MoC)</li><li>Fall Protection</li><li>Hazardous Materials Management Program</li><li>Job Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment</li><li>Project Work Plans / Pre‑Task Plans</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Main Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Ensure compliance with required HSE codes, standards, and regulations, as well as governmental health and safety regulations. Act as a liaison with local, regional, or national regulatory authorities.</li><li>Ensure proper investigation of environmental and safety incidents and lead corrective actions to closure. Experience with root cause analysis methods is preferred.</li><li>Serve as a professional advisor to Country Management regarding existing or potential safety issues.</li><li>Develop Prevention and Protection strategies and guide team members in preparing action plans to continuously improve performance and customer satisfaction.</li><li>Review and report progress and safety performance for the assigned site/function according to EH&amp;S metrics established by Management.</li><li>Ensure that assigned projects are completed as planned in order to meet EH&amp;S objectives. Provide Management with updates and escalation on projects/programs while maintaining communication with site functions.</li><li>Monitor evolving EHS legislation and take appropriate actions to ensure compliance.
