    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\">ARCHAEOLOGY FIELD TECHNICIAN - TEMPORARY POSITION</p><p data-pasted=\"true\">EMH&amp;T is currently recruiting a Temporary Archaeology Field Technician to join our team and gain valuable experience in the field of Archaeology. This is a temporary position based out of our Columbus, Ohio office and the assignment is expected to last 10-12 weeks.&nbsp;</p><p>While this is a temporary assignment, there is potential for full-time employment at the Company&rsquo;s discretion based on performance, project needs, and business conditions. EMH&amp;T&rsquo;s award-winning culture is built on a foundation of respect, a dedication to growth and development, and an organic collaboration second to none.</p><p><u>Responsibilities</u></p><p>Candidates should have the ability to conduct Phase I (both shovel testing and surface collection), Phase II and Phase III fieldwork as part of a team, including the ability to record data in the field and report results to the field director.</p><p><u>Qualifications</u></p><p>Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree and prior fieldwork experience, preferably in the Ohio Valley region. Familiarity with both prehistoric and historic artifact identification is a necessity.&nbsp;</p><p><u>Physical Requirements:</u></p><p>The work may be physically demanding and work environment described here are representative of those that an employee in the above-listed position(s) will encounter and must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li>Use of electronic standard desktop and portable office equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>The ability to tolerate outdoor weather conditions and be exposed to outdoor insects, poisonous plants, and allergens for extended periods of time (8-10 hours per day throughout the year).&nbsp;</li><li>The ability to walk for extended periods of time and the ability to maneuver over rough terrain, ditches, steep banks and uneven ground.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to carry up to 40 lbs. of equipment/materials while walking across terrain.</li><li>Intermittent squatting, leaning, twisting and bending.&nbsp;</li><li>Use of hand equipment or tools.&nbsp;</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><u>Work Schedule</u></p><p>The hourly rate for this temporary position is $22.00 per hour, paid on a bi-weekly basis. The base workweek is forty (40) hours and hours worked in excess of forty regular hours per week will be compensated at 1.5 times your hourly rate. The typical workweek will be Monday through Friday, although depending on weather or project schedule weekend work may be considered. The job locations will be within Ohio and surrounding states. Lodging and $65.00 per diem will be provided for non-local projects and non-local candidates. Selected candidates must provide their own transportation to the EMH&amp;T Columbus office for local projects and hotel for non-local projects.
