It is our shared responsibility to maintain the first-class reputation associated with the franchise in all aspects of our business.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The New York Yankees are looking to add a Lead Carpenter to our team. The Lead Carpenter will lead a team of carpenters and repairmen to handle various tasks within the Stadium. &nbsp;This is a union position and the selected candidate will be required to join the Service Employees International Union, Local 32BJ.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Supervise and lead a team of carpenters and seat repairpersons.</li><li>Perform skilled carpentry tasks including framing, trim, cabinetry, door/window maintenance, and finish work.</li><li>Plan and coordinate project activities, events and stadium conversions.&nbsp;</li><li>Order materials and tools, ensuring supplies are available.</li><li>General handyman repairs; troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions on-site.</li><li>Door and lock maintenance and repairs.</li><li>Patching and painting.</li><li>Collaborate with other trades such as electricians and engineers.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Qualifications and Experience:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High school diploma or GED; vocational training or certification in carpentry preferred.</li><li>5+ years of professional carpentry experience, including supervisory roles.</li><li>Proficient in using hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and construction materials.</li><li>Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and construction methods.</li><li>Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.</li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to stand, kneel, bend, lift up to 50 lbs. and climb on ladders and scaffolding for extended periods of time, with or without a reasonable accommodation.</li><li>Flexible work schedule, including working games, nights, weekends and holidays as needed for extended hours in an outdoor stadium environment.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><em>This description is intended to describe the type of work being performed by a person assigned to this position. &nbsp;It is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required of the employee. &nbsp;The New York Yankees are an Equal Opportunity Employer. &nbsp;The Company is committed to the principles of equal employment opportunity for all employees and applicants for employment.</em></p><p><em>&nbsp;</em></p><p>The rate for this position is $33.84 per hour<a id=\"_anchor_1\" href=\"#_msocom_1\" language=\"JavaScript\" name=\"_msoanchor_1\" target=\"_blank\"></a>, with wages and benefits governed by the Union contract.</p><p><a href=\"#_msoanchor_1\" target=\"_blank\"></a></p></div>\n",
