    "description": "<h2>Position Scope</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a <strong>Heavy Duty Mechanic </strong>to support our San Miguel Mine team south of <strong>Jourdanton, Texas</strong> by assuring mining equipment operates efficiently following all safety standards.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Here at NACG we want to be a part of the next step in your employment journey and push your future forward. Our people are what make North American Construction Group an industry leader, its our people that keep the largest fleet of equipment running and it's our people that keep our job sites safe.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Identify safety hazards and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize </li>\n <li>Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards and warning devices (i.e. back-up alarms, smell of smoke, different colored warning tags, warning sirens, and et.al.).</li>\n <li>Understand and implement LOTO procedures relating to equipment in a safe </li>\n <li>Use effective verbal and written communication skills. Add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and </li>\n <li>Read, understand, and apply plans, specifications and Service Manuals for Equipment Visualize two dimensional drawings into three dimensions.</li>\n <li>Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered regarding construction equipment. Take corrective action as needed and </li>\n <li>Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with contract plans, specifications, and company policy. Point out deficiencies and take any corrective action needed.</li>\n <li>Giving full attention to co-workers - take time to understand other’s points of view.
