Positions are available for (2) Secondary School Generalist teachers at the Therese Tuccaro Secondary School in Fort Chipewyan. We are seeking candidates with high professional standards who are willing to personalize learning to meet the needs of our students. TTSS promotes community-based education programs that focus on land-based learning and traditional teaching, while following the Alberta Program of Studies. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You'll Do</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build positive and productive relationships with students, parents/guardians, peers and others in the school and local community to support student learning.</li>\n<li>Engage in career-long professional learning and critical reflection to improve teaching and learning.</li>\n<li>Possess comprehensive knowledge of the Alberta Program of Studies High School curriculum.</li>\n<li>Apply effective planning and instructional practices to meet the learning needs of every student.</li>\n<li>Establish, promote, and sustain inclusive learning environments where diversity is embraced and every student is welcomed, cared for, respected, and safe.</li>\n<li>Develop and apply foundational knowledge about Mikisew Cree First Nation, Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation, and Metis for the benefit of all students.</li>\n<li>Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to the legal frameworks and policies that provide the foundations for the Alberta Education system.</li>\n<li>Willingness to participate in community activities, events, and programming.</li>\n<li>Other duties, as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Bring</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor of Education degree</li>\n<li>Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate</li>\n<li>Valid Class 5 drivers license</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Conditions</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work in Fort Chipewyan (Remote Northern Community)<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Successful Completion of Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Mikisew Cree First Nation is committed to an inclusive and accessible recruitment process.
