The RCRA Specialist will also serve as project manager for disposal projects. &nbsp;They will communicate with our customers, our staff, and regulatory agencies daily. In addition to handling customer needs, they will manage project setup and invoicing within the project management software utilized by A-C-T.</p></td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\"><p><strong>DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to provide guidance to A-C-T team members and customers on RCRA compliance</li><li>Performs technical field/office work as required</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Manage a variety of waste stream determinations for RCRA status</li></ul><ul><li>Working knowledge of DOT, RCRA and environmental regulations (EPCRA, TSCA, and CERCLA) and an understanding of the terminology and principles of spill response</li><li>Properly classify, identify, package, label, and schedule disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste</li><li>Characterize, sample, and profile waste streams</li><li>Prepare shipping documents in accordance with EPA and DOT regulations</li><li>Work closely with Strategic Development to provide pricing and options for waste disposal and transportation&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare and submit required regulatory reports</li><li>Assist management in preparing and maintaining permit applications and modifications</li><li>Perform inspections of staging and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping and compliance.</li><li>Review and approve all profiles for acceptance into the A-C-T Solid Waste Processing Facility</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Meets with customers to participate in job walks to understand the scope of work and any issues that may impact costs and execution</li><li>Works with management to schedule the work and assure availability of manpower and equipment resources</li><li>Follow up on jobs with operational team and customers to assure work is completed satisfactorily, issues resolved, invoiced, and monies collected</li></ul><ul><li>Upholds the ethics and values of the company</li><li>All other duties as assigned</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\"><p><strong>REQUIRED SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of Project Management Software and Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>Must have strong interpersonal skills to support leadership, management, negotiation, and problem-solving functions of this role</li><li>Excellent judgement and discretion&nbsp;</li><li>Effectively communicate with supervisors on areas such as safety, quality, and integrity&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle quick changing environments</li><li>Remain calm and professional in stressful situations</li><li>Detail oriented while maintaining an extremely positive attitude</li><li>Friendly, courteous, customer service-oriented, professional, and outgoing</li><li>Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision</li><li>Ensures that assigned tasks are performed with the highest level of quality</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\"><p><strong>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree (physical sciences, geology, engineering, environmental science (preferred), or a related field) <strong>or&nbsp;</strong>2-year college degree and 5 years of experience in environmental industry</li><li>Two (2) years&rsquo; experience with environmental or industrial services projects preferred&nbsp;</li><li>OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training&nbsp;</li><li>DOT HazMat (HM-141) Training</li><li>Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations related to waste characterization and management of contaminated sites</li><li>Understanding of FDEP or EPA standard operation procedures for field sampling</li><li>Understanding of laboratory methodology</li><li>Technical writing skills</li><li>Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\"><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><ul><li>Regularly/occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds</li></ul><p>*Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of the job</p><ul><li>Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and see</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p></td></tr></tbody></table></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
