Position Summary
Be the Hero in a Child's Story: Pediatric Neurosurgeon Opportunity
Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is a nationally recognized leader in pediatric care, serving as Central Florida's only hospital dedicated exclusively to the care of children. Our state-of-the-art facility in downtown Orlando provides comprehensive specialty and subspecialty services, including one of the region's premier pediatric neurosurgery programs.
Position Overview
We are seeking an exceptional board-certified/board-eligible Pediatric Neurosurgeon to join our distinguished team. This position offers the opportunity to provide advanced surgical care to children with complex neurological conditions while working alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team in a cutting-edge pediatric facility.
Key Responsibilities
Perform complex pediatric neurosurgical procedures, including cranial and spinal operations for conditions such as brain tumors, hydrocephalus, epilepsy, vascular malformations, craniofacial abnormalities, and congenital malformations.
Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care to pediatric patients and their families
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, epilepsy conferences, and case management discussions.
Collaborate with pediatric neurologists, oncologists, intensivists, and other specialists to deliver coordinated patient care.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
Financial Package:
Comprehensive benefits package includes health, vision, and dental insurance, malpractice coverage, disability coverage, deferred compensation, and matching retirement savings options starting from day one.
Generous starting bonus.
Annual CME stipend.
Eligible employer under the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program.
Qualifications
Education: M.D., D.O.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurosurgery Residency
Fellowship Trained in Pediatric Neurosurgery
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Neurological Surgery
Unrestricted FL Medical License (on the ability to obtain one) and DEA
