    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking skilled <strong>Fire Alarm/ Low Voltage / </strong><strong>Security Designers</strong> to join our team. In this role, you will design and generate low voltage and security system shop drawings, as well as prepare technical submittals, RFIs, and closeout documents for a wide range of projects.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Design and/or draft <strong>low voltage and security system shop drawings</strong>, including Fire alarm and life safety systems, Access control systems, Video surveillance (CCTV/VMS), Intrusion detection systems, Structured cabling and other related low voltage systems</li>\n <li>Support projects for <strong>multi-family, high-rise, and commercial buildings</strong>.</li>\n <li>Work closely with HCI Project Managers and Account Executives to complete accurate designs and prepare submittals in a timely and professional manner.</li>\n <li>Prepare and manage <strong>technical submittals</strong>, product cut sheets, calculations, RFIs, and closeout documentation.</li>\n <li>Apply company standards and <strong>National CAD Standards</strong> to all shop drawings.</li>\n <li>Manage and update electronic and physical engineering libraries, including job folders, equipment manuals, technical data sheets, brochures, and templates.</li>\n <li>Resolve design challenges through research and evaluation of multiple design alternatives.</li>\n <li>Coordinate designs with other trades, AHJs, and building owners to ensure complete and compliant system designs.</li>\n <li>Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, and operational product manuals.</li>\n <li>Identify out-of-scope work and design conflicts by reviewing contract documents, proposals, plans, and specifications.</li>\n <li>Assist in developing efficient, code-compliant design solutions.</li>\n <li>Respond to design-related questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.</li>\n <li>Effectively communicate project status, risks, and design issues to management.</li>\n <li>Perform document control tasks including printing, downloading, and filing.</li>\n <li>Perform take-offs (counts) on plans for devices, cabling, and equipment.</li>\n <li>Complete all required company paperwork accurately and on time.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong computer skills including a solid background in AutoCAD is a requirement.</li>\n <li>Experience designing <strong>low voltage and security systems</strong>, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.</li>\n <li>Industry related RCDD or similar certification is desired.</li>\n <li>Computer proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.</li>\n <li>Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Must be self-motivated, have strong organizational skills, a multi-tasker, reliable, self-determined and have excellent follow up skills.</li>\n <li>Possess the ability to take the initiative to get a project completed.</li>\n <li>Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.</li>\n <li>Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>HCI Systems Inc. is a licensed C-7, C-10 and C-16 low voltage systems integration contractor offering a full spectrum of services including sales, engineering, installation, service, and maintenance with over 600 employees in our seven branches.
