Cornelis Networks delivers the world’s highest performance scale-out networking solutions for AI and HPC datacenters. Our differentiated architecture seamlessly integrates hardware, software and system level technologies to maximize the efficiency of GPU, CPU and accelerator-based compute clusters at any scale. Our solutions drive breakthroughs in AI & HPC workloads, empowering our customers to push the boundaries of innovation. Backed by top-tier venture capital and strategic investors, we are committed to innovation, performance and scalability - solving the world’s most demanding computational challenges with our next-generation networking solutions. We are a fast-growing, forward-thinking team of architects, engineers, and business professionals with a proven track record of building successful products and companies. As a global organization, our team spans multiple U.S. states and six countries, and we continue to expand with exceptional talent in onsite, hybrid, and fully remote roles. Cornelis Networks is seeking a Global Field CTO to serve as a highly visible technical leader and trusted advisor across customers, partners, and the broader AI infrastructure ecosystem. This is not a traditional pre-sales, solutions architect, or management role. It is a market-shaping position for an experienced technology leader who can influence customer strategy, represent Cornelis Networks in the industry, and help guide the future direction of our products and solutions. The Global Field CTO will work directly with executive leadership, product management, engineering, strategic customers, and ecosystem partners to help define the future of AI networking infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of technology, customer engagement, product strategy, and industry influence. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage executives, architects, engineers, researchers, and industry thought leaders alike. Key Responsibilities: Establish Cornelis Networks as a recognized technical leader across AI, HPC, cloud, sovereign AI, and next-generation datacenter infrastructure markets. Influence customer technology strategies and architecture decisions through trusted advisor relationships. Accelerate adoption of Cornelis networking solutions through technical leadership, advocacy, and ecosystem engagement. Shape future product direction through direct engagement with customers, partners, and industry leaders. Strengthen strategic relationships with hyperscalers, cloud providers, OEMs, research institutions, and key ecosystem partners. Expand market awareness and technical credibility for Cornelis Networks within the rapidly evolving AI infrastructure landscape. Elevate technical knowledge and customer engagement effectiveness across the broader organization. Serve as a senior technical spokesperson for Cornelis Networks at customer meetings, industry conferences, analyst briefings, webinars, podcasts, and ecosystem events. Develop and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, technical papers, blogs, and thought leadership content that communicate the value of Cornelis networking solutions. Engage deeply with strategic customers to understand technical challenges, workloads, infrastructure requirements, and long-term technology roadmaps. Drive advanced technical engagements with hyperscalers, next-generation cloud providers, OEM partners, research organizations, and enterprise customers. Collaborate closely with sales, product management, and engineering teams to support strategic opportunities, proof-of-concept activities, pilot deployments, and customer success initiatives. Identify emerging market opportunities, technology shifts, competitive threats, and workload trends that create new opportunities for Cornelis Networks. Act as a conduit between customers and internal product teams, ensuring customer requirements and market feedback influence future product direction. Provide input on technology strategy, product roadmaps, performance priorities, architectural decisions, and competitive positioning. Help validate next-generation networking architectures and identify future requirements for AI training, large-scale inference, and hyperscale infrastructure deployments. Coach and enable field teams on technical positioning, competitive differentiation, customer engagement, and industry trends. Required Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in networking, datacenter infrastructure, semiconductors, AI, HPC, cloud infrastructure, or related technology markets. Deep understanding of distributed computing architectures, networking technologies, and large-scale AI or HPC environments. Strong knowledge of Ethernet, InfiniBand, Ultra Ethernet, RDMA technologies, and modern scale-out networking architectures. Understanding of AI training, large-scale inference, AI factory architectures, GPU clusters, accelerated computing, and emerging datacenter trends. Experience engaging with executive leadership, architects, engineering teams, researchers, and technical decision makers at enterprise, cloud, research, and hyperscale organizations. Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business and technology value. Experience presenting at industry conferences, customer events, analyst briefings, technical forums, or public speaking engagements. Proven ability to influence product strategy through direct customer engagement and market feedback. Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to travel globally as required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AI training infrastructure, large-scale inference environments, AI factories, or sovereign AI initiatives. Prior experience with networking technologies such as Ultra Ethernet, InfiniBand, RoCE, HPC interconnects, or large-scale distributed AI systems. Existing relationships across hyperscalers, cloud providers, OEMs, research institutions, government laboratories, and AI infrastructure ecosystem partners. Experience working within high-growth technology companies bringing new infrastructure technologies to market. Recognized industry thought leader with experience publishing technical content, speaking at conferences, or influencing industry direction. Location :  This is a remote role within  North America or Europe. Significant travel is expected to support customer engagements, conferences, strategic ecosystem activities, and executive-level customer interactions. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes equity, cash, and incentives, along with health and retirement benefits. Our dynamic, flexible work environment provides the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most influential names in the semiconductor industry. At Cornelis Networks your base salary is only one component of your comprehensive total rewards package. Your base pay will be determined by factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and location relative to the hiring range for the position. Depending on your role, you may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, including an annual bonus or sales incentives. In addition to your base pay, you’ll have access to a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as disability and life insurance, a dependent care flexible spending account, accidental injury insurance, and pet insurance. We also offer generous paid holidays, 401(k) with company match, and Open Time Off (OTO) for regular full-time exempt employees. Other paid time off benefits include sick time, bonding leave, and pregnancy disability leave. Cornelis Networks does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services. Cornelis Networks is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
