Duties will also include maintenance of building and support equipment.</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Perform preventative maintenance as required on all industrial equipment in the plant including but not limited to conveyers, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding (arc/Heli-arc), gearboxes/drives, valves/pumps, federal fillers, n8 filler.</li><li>Able to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480v, 3 phase, read, and interpret electrical drawings.</li><li>Directs and coordinates assembly, fabrication, and installation activities to ensure equipment and systems conform to engineering design and internal specifications and standards.</li><li>Recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions or to improve safety, quality, or equipment operating parameters.</li><li>Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all company policies, plant rules and regulations.</li><li>Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.</li><li>Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.</li><li>Realigns and adjusts functional components and control instruments.</li><li>Locates damaged air and liquid hydraulic pipes, lines, or wires.</li><li>Starts machine and equipment to test operation following repairs.</li><li>Performs set-up and operates metalworking tools (i.e., drill press, grinder, etc.) for the repair or creation of existing parts.</li><li>Weld equipment and parts as needed.</li><li>Reads and understands schematic flowcharts and technical manuals.</li><li>Must follow GMP’s, SOP’s, and SSOP’s always.</li><li>Uses all personal protective equipment provided by the company in compliance with OSHA regulations.</li><li>Installs equipment for new electrical services (120v, 240v and 480v three phase), including wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, contactors, relays, times, and controls.</li><li>Performs electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work; installs or replaces circuit breakers, fuses, variable speed.</li><li>Diagnose refrigeration and electrical problems using technical drawings (for example, blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (for example, multi-meter, laptop).</li><li>Performs and assists in all operations maintenance activities. All applicable work is done in accordance with National, State and Local Electrical Codes.</li><li>Uses the company's computerized maintenance management system to record and access maintenance related information.</li><li>Assist the machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
