    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Cove Aquatic Center's The Spotted Frog is hiring for servers! The Spotted Frog Poolside Cafe & Bar offers drinks and pub fare and is open to pool and resort guests. The restaurant's name is a nod to the endangered Oregon Spotted Frog, which has a protected habitat within our Cove nature discovery area. The Server is responsible for ensuring the standards of service in assigned food and beverage outlets. S/he will take orders, deliver food, drinks and other items to guests poolside. The Server will act as a liaison between the kitchen and guests. S/he will assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Server will always conduct them self in a manner that supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: <em>Trust, </em><em>Open & Honest Communication, and </em><em>Commitment. </em>The Server shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Must be avaialble on weekends </strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Takes guests orders using lounge chair numbers and appropriate order taking sheets</li>\n <li>Enters orders accurately into POS systems</li>\n <li>Familiarizes him/herself with all menus including all meal periods, lounge menu, and beverage lists</li>\n <li>Resets lounge chairs and dining area after guests are done</li>\n <li>Performs food & beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments, mise en place, brewing coffee and ensuring work stations are stocked, etc. </li>\n <li>Follows all proper bookkeeping and cash handling procedures</li>\n <li>Ensures all opening, on-going and closing sidework is complete and signed off by a manager on duty</li>\n <li>Serves food and beverages to guests poolside</li>\n <li>Informs and promotes guests of daily/nightly specials; Checks guests’ identification to ensure room charging privileges</li>\n <li>Checks guests’ identification to ensure minimum age requirement for consumption of alcoholic beverages</li>\n <li>Removes service ware or other item from tables and guest areas and place them in trash receptacles </li>\n <li>Cleans tables and/or counters & lounge chairs after guests are finished</li>\n <li>Offers creative selling of products to guests</li>\n <li>Answers questions and/or makes recommendations on menus items</li>\n <li>Explains how various menu items are prepared, describing cooking methods and ingredients</li>\n <li>Takes into consideration any special request, dietary issues made by the guest</li>\n <li>Performs food preparation duties such as preparing salads, appetizers, cold dishes, portioning desserts and brewing coffee</li>\n <li>Provides general resort information for guests</li>\n <li>Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest</li>\n <li>Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events</li>\n <li>Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information</li>\n <li>Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests</li>\n <li>Describes and recommends drinks and food items to guests</li>\n <li>Ensures final quality check on food and beverage prior to serving guests</li>\n <li>Monitors assigned tables for customer satisfaction, quality and additional service</li>\n <li>Accurately prepares guest bills and provides in a timely manner and ensures accurate payment is received </li>\n <li>Accurately reports tips & shift times in the appropriate location at the end of each shift</li>\n <li>Addresses any guest issue promptly and with concern</li>\n <li>Provides assistance to restaurant staff as needed</li>\n <li>Attends monthly mandatory department meetings and appropriate resort and division meetings</li>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>Prior hospitality experience preferred</li>\n <li>At least one year high volume restaurant serving experience preferred</li>\n <li>At least one year food & beverage experience preferred </li>\n <li>At least 6 months POS system experience preferred</li>\n <li>Adequate wine, beer and mixed drink knowledge preferred</li>\n <li>Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit</li>\n <li>Must have or be able to obtain prior to start date a valid OLCC card, Food Handlers permit </li>\n <li>Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift</li>\n <li>Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height; </li>\n <li>Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 75 lbs</li>\n <li>Must be able to work outdoors</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
