As one of Australia’s largest publicly listed defense companies and a member of the ASX200, DroneShield is experiencing sustained hypergrowth. Global revenue increased from approximately US$38 million in 2024 to over US$125 million in 2025, representing growth of more than 400% year over year, alongside record profitability and cash flow. The global counter-UAS market is estimated at approximately US$100 billion and remains at an early stage, positioning DroneShield as a global market leader and the only publicly listed pure-play counter-drone company worldwide.
DroneShield has grown from just 11 employees in 2017 to more than 450 employees globally today, with continued expansion planned across the United States, Europe, and APAC. About the role
DroneShield is looking to recruit an Inside Sales Representative whose responsibilities will be critical in helping the business run smoothly during its next phase of growth. This position will be part of the Sales Team and will report to VP of Sales. They will work closely with the U.S. sales team. This role will suit someone with excellent attention to detail and a passion for technology who wants to develop their career in a fast-moving ASX listed defense technology company.
Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations
Create and prioritize strategic target account lists Qualify all leads and understand the pain points of each customer Perform research on potential customers and identify the key contacts Qualify resellers and distributors Prospect and qualify leads using a variety of sources Work with the broader team to set meetings, conduct demos, and visit prospects Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications Conduct high level conversations with counterparties in prospect accounts Provide input in writing product manuals and Standard Operating Procedures Assist in providing distributor and end customer training in product use Help coordinate marketing events/exhibitions and attend when needed Generate quotes on qualified opportunities and follow up as required Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Ideally 3-5 years sales experience is desired, but this role is also open to graduates Defense or security sector experience is well regarded Technical degree is well regarded, and in absence of it, need demonstrated track record of ability to grasp technical concepts Proven track record of success Experience with Salesforce is required Ability to work autonomously and as part of a geographically distributed team Excellent written/verbal communication Motivated self-starter Technology sector experience is well regarded, but not required High degree of attention to detail Creative lateral thinker
