Description We are looking for a talented General Manager to join our team specializing in Service and Operations for our Calgary and Lethbridge branches in AB. Job Summary: Plans and directs the operations of a small scope organization. Management may be within a portion of a geographic region, a single small business within a country, or a small Cummins’ controlled joint venture. Implements operating policies and procedures through Supervisors and experienced Individual Contributors. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Deliver strong operational and financial performance by achieving or exceeding balanced scorecard targets, optimizing asset utilization, and managing P&L with discipline and foresight. Translate long‑term strategy into actionable business plans , ensuring your organization executes with clarity, alignment, and measurable short‑term results that support Cummins’ broader strategic direction. Grow the business profitably by identifying new opportunities, understanding regional and global market dynamics, and ensuring offerings are optimized for Cummins’ capabilities and customer needs. Strengthen cross‑functional execution by anticipating and resolving operational challenges across customer service, finance, quality, purchasing, materials, and HR, ensuring seamless performance across all functions. Elevate customer satisfaction and loyalty through strong relationship‑building, proactive engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives that reflect both current and future customer expectations. Drive continuous improvement and Six Sigma initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and consistency while embedding common global business processes where applicable. Develop high‑performing teams by leading, motivating, and coaching Supervisors and Individual Contributors, setting clear expectations for development, performance, and career growth. Deepen organizational insight and market understanding by building expertise across all Cummins businesses and leveraging that knowledge to shape opportunities that strengthen Cummins’ regional and global presence. Responsibilities To be successful in this role you will need the following: Use strong financial acumen to guide decisions by interpreting key financial indicators, managing trade‑offs, and ensuring every choice supports profitable, sustainable business growth. Build and sustain high‑performing teams by creating a strong team identity, leveraging diverse strengths, and ensuring people are aligned, supported, and equipped to deliver results. Expand and activate your internal and external networks to influence outcomes, accelerate problem‑solving, and open doors to new opportunities, partnerships, and insights. Apply deep business insight to connect marketplace realities with organizational goals, ensuring strategies, plans, and daily decisions are grounded in what drives value for Cummins and its customers. Champion customer focus by building trust, understanding customer needs, and delivering solutions that strengthen satisfaction, loyalty, and long‑term relationships. Make timely, high‑quality decisions that balance risk, data, and practical constraints, keeping the organization moving forward even in ambiguity or pressure. Education, Licenses, Certifications: College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering, Business or related field required. Advanced degree in Business or related field preferred. Green Belt certified. Experience: Significant experience required, including supervisory, product, customer, and budgetary experience. Qualifications This position offers a salary range of $ 142,000 to $ 172,000 plus variable compensation. Key Responsibilities: Play a key leadership role in supporting and developing local and extended team members.  Oversee daily business operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Implement strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth. Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and market share. Collaborate with the sales team to set goals and monitor performance. Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to drive growth. Work with marketing to develop campaigns that align with sales objectives. Ability to travel within both locations. Required Skills and Experience: A strong background in customer relations is essential to ensure seamless processes and exceptional customer satisfaction. Knowledge or experience in strategic business planning and change management methodology. Familiarity with multiple market segments in Calgary, Lethbridge and the surrounding area (Power Gen, On Highway, Industrial) would be an asset. University degree preferred. Business acumen is required. Experience in  Union environment and managing multiple sites will be an asset. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
