By joining our team, you’ll contribute to our shared mission of protecting global industrial operations and shaping the future of environmental stewardship.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Sheet Metal Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, assembly, install, and repair of sheet metal products and equipment. Work may involve any of the following: setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal; shaping metal over anvils, blocks, or forms using hammer; operating soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts; or inspecting, assembling, and smoothing seams and joints of burred surfaces. You will be welding in very tight confined spaces, i.e.: inside a small tank.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Your Responsibilities Will Be</strong></p>\n<p>This job description represents only the primary areas of responsibility; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department.</p>\n<p>To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Set up and operation of hydraulic press brake; forming various sheet metal and plate parts  </li>\n <li>Set up and operation of plate rolls; material size ranges from 20 gauge to 1/4” plate. </li>\n <li>Set up and operation of sheet metal shear. Must be able to calculate best cut to minimize scrap. </li>\n <li>Must be able to MIG weld from 20 gauge to 3/8” plate; stainless, and carbon steel material.  </li>\n <li>Must understand or be willing to learn the forming process of various sheet metal parts such as pressed elbows, gorelocked elbows, collars, sleeves, tee branches, reducers, etc. </li>\n <li>Must be able to weld in very tight confined spaces, i.e.: inside a small tank.</li>\n <li>Set up and operation of hydraulic press brake; forming various sheet metal and plate parts  </li>\n <li>Set up and operation of plate rolls; material size ranges from 20 gauge to 1/4” plate. </li>\n <li>Set up and operation of sheet metal shear. Must be able to calculate best cut to minimize scrap. </li>\n <li>Must be able to MIG weld from 20 gauge to 3/8” plate; stainless, and carbon steel material.  </li>\n <li>Must understand or be willing to learn the forming process of various sheet metal parts such as pressed elbows, gorelocked elbows, collars, sleeves, tee branches, reducers, etc. </li>\n <li>Must understand or be willing to learn the operation of plate rolls, spot welders and various machines in the process of forming parts; forming material that ranges from 20 gauge to 1/4” plate. </li>\n <li>Reads assembly prints and procedures </li>\n <li>Other job duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED required; Trade or Technical School Degree Preferred</li>\n <li>5+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication </li>\n <li>Good mechanical skills.  </li>\n <li>Basic math skills and the ability to read assembly prints and procedures. </li>\n <li>Punctual</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and self-motivated.</li>\n <li>Team player, able to get along with a diverse group of people working towards a common goal.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of a welding school, like PTECH</li>\n <li>Welding Certifications are a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong><strong>KNOWLEDGE: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Mechanical knowledge and the ability to read assembly prints and/or procedures.  </li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.  </li>\n <li>Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.  </li>\n <li>Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>ADA REQUIREMENTS</u></strong></p>\n<p>Positions in this function typically require typing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.</li>\n <li>The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.</li>\n <li>Compliance with company attendance standards.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of forces constantly to move objects. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Very Heavy Work: Exerting more than 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or more than 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or more than 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, gases, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel.
