Description

JOB TITLE: IND Wrapper/Stacker/Sleever DEPTARMENT: Manufacturing JOB SUMMARY: The IND Wrapper/Stacker/Sleever position is responsible for wrapping the positive plates with the appropriate separating material. This position is responsible for stacking the pasted plates and ensuring that all sleeves go around the positive plate. The IND Wrapper/Stacker/Sleever is responsible for ensuring produced parts meet specification and quality characteristics. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for: Understanding and following policies, procedures and instructions. Ability to identify and report product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel. Must support implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions. Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures including the proper use of personal protective equipment where required. Responsible for day-to-day house keeping of the surrounding production floor area. Wraps and stacks Industrial pasted plates which are put together to form an element. Ensures that positive plates are wrapped with appropriate material Unload plates from a curing rack and check the quality of each plate Stack the plates from the machine, onto a skid. Unloading positive or negative plates from a curing rack and checking the quality of each plate, then loading them into the machine. Has the ability to run the sleever machine when needed. Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives ACCOUNTABILITY: This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor. DESIRABLE TRAITS: Ability to work efficiently and in a fast-paced environment; self-motivation to effectively troubleshoot; strong communication skills with co-workers, supervision, and management; ability to take ownership, have integrity, determination, perseverance, and flexibility; strong team member skills EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18 years of age Minimum 1 year manufacturing/factory experience preferred in a fast-paced setting Basic math and computer skills Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, supervision, and management WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand/walk for 8-10 hours at a time. Bending, twisting, and turning. Full use of both hands to finger, handle, or fell objects, tools, or tooling; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk to hear. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds frequently and in excess of 140 pounds infrequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must follow OSHA guidelines on respirator fit testing and proper wear. Will wear goggles or face shield at all times while in department.
