Responsibilities Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) Location: Hybrid – New Jersey Corporate Office Reports To: Director of Human Resources Position Summary The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic and hands-on role focused heavily on employee relations and leave management. This individual will partner closely with leadership to manage complex employee matters, ensure compliance, and support a positive, high-performing work environment.This role will lead the administration of FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs, guide managers through sensitive situations, and ensure consistent application of policies across a multi-state footprint. Qualifications Employee Relations Serve as the primary HR partner for employee relations matters Conduct investigations into employee complaints and policy violations Coach managers on performance management, corrective action, and employee engagement Draft disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and employee communications FMLA / Leave of Absence (LOA) Manage end-to-end administration of FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leaves Oversee eligibility, documentation, approvals, tracking, and return-to-work processes Facilitate the interactive process and reasonable accommodations Ensure compliance with all federal and state leave laws Compliance & HR Partnership Ensure consistent application of policies and employment laws Maintain compliance across a multi-state environment Partner with leadership to address trends, risks, and workforce needs Support onboarding, offboarding, and organizational changes other tasks as assigned. Qualifications 5+ years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations and leave management Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and multi-state employment laws (NJ preferred) Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-state organization Preferred SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification Experience in healthcare, ABA, or multi-site organizations Why Golden Steps ABA?
