These solutions drive electrical and automation modernizations as well as new installations of mechanical equipment across the metals industry&mdash;including Melt Shops, Casters, Rolling Mills, and Process Lines. We offer company events, activities, and opportunities to participate in charitable initiatives that benefit the communities where we are located.<br><a href=\"http://www.sms-group.us/\" target=\"_blank\">www.sms-group.us&nbsp;</a></p><p><strong>What you&#39;ll do</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Work with the engineering team developing technical solutions for sales projects based on project requirements, SMS standards and similar reference projects&nbsp;</li><li>Work with the engineering team developing project cost estimates based on the Technical solution utilizing the required vendors and reference estimates&nbsp;</li><li>Deliver SMS Technical solutions to customers as part of the sales activities&nbsp;</li><li>Supervision received is mostly administrative, with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.&nbsp;</li><li>Travel to our customers within North America for short trips during the sales cycle. &nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you&#39;ll need</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ideally a technical degree with a background in electrical and automation. Appropriate experience may also be applicable.&nbsp;</li><li>Minimum of 5 years&rsquo; experience in an engineering and/or sales role in the metals or a similar industry, or working for an automation controls, power or drives company.&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity and/or experience in electrical and automation systems utilizing programmable logic controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), drives and/or PC based process models.&nbsp;</li><li>Self-starter who wants to learn and grow with the ability to work with minimal supervision&nbsp;</li><li>Be willing to travel up to 15% of the time on short trips to support the sales opportunity for site investigation, proposal review meetings and entertainment with the customer.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong aptitude to communicate and exercise effective interpersonal skills with excellent English oral and written communication skills&nbsp;</li><li>The candidate must be authorized to work in the United States and be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What we offer&nbsp;</strong><br>&nbsp; Competitive compensation, medical/dental/vision coverage, paid vacation, paid holiday time, 401k with a company match, training, a tuition reimbursement program and more!&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What we do&nbsp;</strong><br>&nbsp; SMS group is the leading partner in the world of metals.
