Not only is that great for business (as seen in our global growth and success) it’s also great for employees.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As an <strong>Engineer 2</strong> you will be responsible for using your technical knowledge of professional concepts to solve business problems.  We are looking for a talented individual that can serve as a subject matter expert in their area of focus and represent their department on complex assignments.  You will be responsible for evaluating elements of technology's effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research and investigation and make recommendations for improvements that result in increased quality and effectiveness.  You will be required to listen to and evaluate customer needs to determine and provide high quality solutions that align with customer expectations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Modifies medium to complex code and develops medium to highly complex application code independently within or outside various teams using applicable technology</li>\n <li>Schedules and presents own code specifications and programming logic at code reviews as well as contributing to others’ code reviews</li>\n <li>Performs local development builds, application integration builds and code merges</li>\n <li>Tests and fixes own defects and other low to highly complex defects; Develops unit tests and test scripts</li>\n <li>Migrates applications to quality assurance and/or production environment</li>\n <li>Analyzes and reviews software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints</li>\n <li>Uses knowledge of professional concepts and company objectives to resolve a wide range of moderately complex issues in creative and cost-effective ways</li>\n <li>Focus on operational and tactical activities</li>\n <li>Participates and assists project teams with project planning; coordinates activities of project phases</li>\n <li>Works on small to large, complex assignments</li>\n <li>Escalates complex issues; resolves moderately complex issues; recommends potential solutions to issues; follows established escalation procedures</li>\n <li>Makes recommendations for new procedures for the department</li>\n <li>Prepares and delivers informal and formal presentations; Presents designs to architects, leadership, and business at department meetings or business meetings with project managers or managers; Represents team in meetings outside of the department</li>\n <li>Provides instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments; ensures deadlines are met; May informally coach and mentor less senior team members individually</li>\n <li>Create new and maintains documentation on application modifications and updates</li>\n <li>Rotate shifts for being on-call with a management escalation point</li>\n <li>Monitors application logs and status; takes appropriate action based on the status</li>\n <li>Implements complex modules, enhancements, or change requests based on a provided design</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Skills and Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Excellent problem solving which includes the ability to define the problem, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and set priorities</li>\n <li>Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veterans</em></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future</li>\n <li>Must reside in St. Louis, Missouri, or immediate surrounding area</li>\n <li>Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities</li>\n <li>3+ years of software development</li>\n <li>2+ years of ServiceNow Development</li>\n <li>2+ years JavaScript</li>\n <li>Experience with API Scripting using Web Services (Rest, SOAP)</li>\n <li>Experience with Shell Scripting (SSH, PowerShell)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred</li>\n <li>Agile/Scrum methodology experience preferred</li>\n <li>Software Development Life Cycle management preferred</li>\n <li>Experience with Usability Methods is a plus</li>\n</ul>",
