    "description": "<h2>Position Scope</h2>\n<p>NACG is seeking <strong>Finish Excavator Operators </strong>to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area.  This is your opportunity to join one of the safest and largest contracts in the region.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>For this role, NACG offers a combined rate of up to <strong>$59.28/hour</strong> as well as room for growth!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Where You’ll Be Working</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Site: </strong>Kearl</p>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> 14x14 (Days and nights) 12-hour shifts (Paid for 11.5 hours)</p>\n<p><strong>Accommodations:</strong> Camp provided</p>\n<p><strong>Transportation:</strong> Flights provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary</p>\n<p><strong>Overtime:</strong> Currently at Kearl they have blended rates with no overtime. Instead they do a 10% hourly uplift.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are proud to work with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.  Successful candidates will become a part of that union.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>What’s In It for You?</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Benefits are important and we offer lots!</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Up to a combined rate of pay of $59.25/ hour</li>\n <li>Vacation and Statutory Holiday pay allocated to each paycheck</li>\n <li>Earn up to 61 hours of overtime per 14-day rotation</li>\n <li>Night shift premium +$1.20 / hour</li>\n <li>Paid weekly</li>\n <li>Membership with one of the largest IUOE locals in North America</li>\n <li>Benefits and pension after 400 hours worked, including medical and dental benefits</li>\n <li>Transportation to and from site, save on gas expenses!</li>\n <li>PPE provided, just bring your own CSA certified steel toed boots</li>\n <li>Room for growth and future advancements</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>What You’ll Be Doing</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Operate various sizes and models of excavators required to complete assigned work</li>\n <li>Read stakes and be able to place a grade as needed</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies, operating standards and procedures </li>\n <li>Using adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE</li>\n <li>Reviewing safe work plans/ hazard assessment with prior to job commencement and follow all requirements</li>\n <li>Complete equipment/ area walk-arounds, safety checks and field level risk assessments and ensure all equipment is running properly</li>\n <li>Report any necessary or anticipated repairs to the maintenance team or supervisors immediately</li>\n <li>Report all incidents, near misses or damage immediately</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong><u>What Makes You the ONE</u></strong></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Minimum 5 years of experience operating excavator</li>\n   <li>Must be able to finish ditch and cut to grade</li>\n   <li>Minimum one year experience in a mining atmosphere preferred</li>\n   <li>Willing and able to work in soft ground conditions (Muskeg) and rip frost above shovels</li>\n   <li>Must be able to follow instructions to ensure safe equipment operation</li>\n   <li>Must be proficient in English, both verbal and written</li>\n   <li>Must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else</li>\n   <li>Ability to complete required fitness-to-work testing requirements</li>\n   <li>CSO OR BSO Certification</li>\n   <li>Silica Awareness Training</li>\n   <li>Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness</li>\n   <li>Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with acceptable drivers abstract (pulled within 30 days)</li>\n   <li>High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an asset</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Summary</h2>\n<p><strong>What's Next</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>If you are chosen to move forward in our hiring process for a site-based role, you will be asked to provide the following:</p>\n<li>Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and ability to provide a recent acceptable Driver’s Abstract</li>\n<li>Valid BSO or CSO Certification</li>\n<li>Silica Awareness</li>\n<li>Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness</li>\n<li>Hydroden Sulphide</li>\n<li>OHS Alberta Legislation Awareness</li>\n<li>Be subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites</li>\n<li>Undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:</li>\n<ul>\n <li>Breath Alcohol Test</li>\n <li>Urine Drug Test</li>\n <li>Fitness-to-Work Health Assessment</li>\n <li>Audiometric Testing</li>\n <li>Vision Screening</li>\n <li>Criminal Record Check</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Once dispatched the following processes will occur:</p>\n<li>Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing</li>\n<li>An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out</li>\n<li>After all results and paperwork are received by NACG, candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site-specific details.</li>\n<p><em>Please note: The onboarding process can take anywhere from 3-8 business days.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE, SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED VIA PHONE OR EMAIL.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>NACG in a Nutshell</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>North American Construction Group (NACG) has served as an industry leader in the heavy construction and mining industries for over 65 years.
