At MPTC, we are in a unique position to impact our district communities, and we work diligently to hire candidates with aligned values and extensive skill-sets to help move the mission of Moraine Park forward.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a part-time Adjunct Faculty - Electrician Apprenticeship Instructor on our West Bend Campus. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The successful candidate will have an Associate degree in a related field and two years (4,000 hours) of paid work experiences related to the program(s) being taught, including one year (2,000 hours) of paid work experience that has been acquired within the past five years. In lieu of this one year of recent experiences, two years of post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the past five years may be considered. (Two years of post-secondary teaching experience means eight semesters of part-time teaching or four semesters of full-time teaching at an accredited institution.)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join us at Moraine Park Technical College, where we strive to make a positive difference in the lives of our students!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare for and facilitate learning in the assigned courses according to the College’s core values. Establish a professional and safe learning environment. Set the classroom tone by modeling appropriate workplace skills and behavior. Maintain a positive climate for learning by performing classroom management and being aware of, monitoring, and enforcing the Student Code of Conduct.</li>\n <li>Meet student learning needs by incorporating a variety of teaching methods and assessments.</li>\n <li>Maintain student confidentiality, records, and documentation as required by Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Submit grades within the expected time-frame.</li>\n <li>Provide timely verbal and written feedback to the students to ensure continued growth and development.</li>\n <li>May participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and updating of curriculum.</li>\n <li>Assist with student recruitment and positively promote the College programs and services offered.</li>\n <li>Promote retention and student success through the utilization of referrals to College services and resources.</li>\n <li>Maintain ongoing relationships with K-12, Department of Corrections (DOC), community, and industry partners beyond the classroom.</li>\n <li>Actively maintain proficient knowledge and skills in emerging trends and current occupational practices. Complete annual professional development activities in areas of Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS) competencies. Complete all required training.</li>\n <li>Maintain equipment and supplies for the classroom and labs, as necessary to support the assigned program area and future trends in industry.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience & Qualifications<em>(in addition to those listed in the summary above)</em>:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Experience in the following job duties:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performed the installation of electrical wiring and associated equipment in either a residential, commercial, or industrial setting</li>\n <li>Conduct safety briefs with work crews; ability to identify hazardous conditions on the job-site.</li>\n <li>Read and understand specifications and drawings</li>\n <li>Implemented work practices according to most current National Electrical Code requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Working knowledge of the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>AC/DC theory</li>\n <li>Transformer theory and operation</li>\n <li>Green Technologies in Power</li>\n <li>Programmable logic controllers (PLCs)</li>\n <li>Electrical fabrication (mounting systems, supports, etc.)</li>\n <li>Wisconsin Electrical Code</li>\n <li>Single and 3-phase Electrical Motors</li>\n <li>Ohm’s Law</li>\n <li>Capacitors and Capacitor Reactance</li>\n <li>Parallel Circuits and Series Circuits</li>\n <li>Upon hire, must maintain and/or obtain Higher Learning Commission, Faculty Quality Assurance System, and other agency requirements and licensure required to maintain individual and program accreditation, if applicable.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>OSHA-30 cardholder.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Hiring Range: </strong>Adjunct pay rates may vary between $39.85 - $44.25/hour based on course configuration (pending board approval)</p>\n<p><strong>Starting:</strong> August 10, 2026</p>\n<p><strong>Hours/Schedule: </strong>Hours/days vary based on course assignment.</p>",
