About the Team Our New Verticals Strategy & Operations team is re-inventing the way consumers think about grocery, convenience, alcohol and retail delivery through both our first-party and third-party operations businesses. DashMarts are our first-party offering designed to provide on-demand deliveries through a new type of convenience. Inside DashMarts we sell household essentials, groceries, brand-name favorites, local favorites and so much more! We have sites all over the country and are growing our geographic footprint, services we offer and scaling our existing sites today! About the Role You will lead the strategy and execution of a high-impact labor efficiency roadmap, shaping how the network operates today and scales for the future. Drive system-based solutions that optimize workforce productivity, operating model, labor utilization, and broader operational efficiencies across DashMart operations. Partner cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver analytical modeling, workforce strategy, and complex special projects with measurable business impact. The ideal candidate brings a strong Strategy & Operations foundation, preferably within industrial or operational environments, and thrives in solving ambiguous, large-scale operational challenges. You should be comfortable going deep in the data, setting a clear vision for performance, and mobilizing teams to deliver results. This is a highly visible role with outsized impact on customer experience, operational efficiency, and business performance. You will report directly into a Senior Manager and lead a small team of salaried direct reports. You’re excited about this opportunity because you will… Analyze. You love working with data to drive business decision-making and problem solving, and are familiar with SQL. Lead : You'll spearhead cross-functional projects, collaborating with Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to develop and implement tech solutions that increase selection across our New Vertical offerings. Strategize: You will own and deliver on improving key selection metrics. You’ll create and execute quarterly and annual strategic plans aligned with product capabilities to elevate order quality. Build : You will build strategic initiatives and drive innovation across our offerings; this can vary from AI-powered selection predictions to improving the way we plan for labor. This means everything from high-level strategy to operational details. We’re excited about you because… You are an operator. You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you’re also able to think long-term. You are excited to experience our operation firsthand to inform your strategy. You solve problems from first principles. You’re excited to think innovatively, and you resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking. You understand the problem space. You’ve built models, ideally to plan for people, and understand the tradeoffs between cost, efficiency and scalability. You’re analytical and AI native. You possess a sharp analytical mind, and can extract and communicate meaningful insights from data to drive strategic decisions. You are comfortable with SQL and data visualization tools but you’ve adapted to using AI effectively. You have 6-8+ years of experience. You’ve succeeded in high-performing cultures (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, startups or a related experience). Bonus points if you have 2+ years of experience with physical retail, manufacturing, or warehousing environments. Experience in grocery warehousing or online micro-fulfillment centers is preferred. You are a leader. You have at least 2+ years of direct management experience. You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree. Results of the audit may be viewed here: Covey Compensation The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
