    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Home Location: </strong>Rhoads - Philadelphia, PA</p>\n<p><strong>Travel Expectation</strong>: Business Travel approximately 15%+</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Focus Factory Training (D973) is currently looking for an organized, self-motivated Structural Welding Instructor to support the strategic sourcing initiatives at the Rhoads Focus Factory Philadelphia, PA.  This position will report to the on-site Chief of Training.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Instructor will be part of a team, responsible for the training of supplier students in various courses related to various structural welding processes and wire types, as well as additional welding related requirements.  Qualified candidates will have a strong sense of commitment to Safety and Procedural Compliance, be a self-starter and possess strong verbal & written communication skills.  Candidates must also be driven by a desire to develop themselves and others, and possess the ability to multi-task with a friendly, approachable customer service demeanor.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities & Duties - </strong>The responsibilities & duties include but are not limited to: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Instructing multiple welding related classroom courses including Workmanship, AWPSS and Safety Briefs</li>\n <li>Instructing multiple structural related classroom courses</li>\n <li>Directing and assessing hands on training with practice and tests</li>\n <li>Enforcing safety rules and regulations in training and during deck plate audits</li>\n <li>Assessing student performance & identifying nonconformance to policies, procedures and technical documents</li>\n <li>Supporting various course content reviews and related activities</li>\n <li>Conducting assessments as needed/scheduled</li>\n <li>Manage class rosters and training OQE submittal paperwork</li>\n <li>Meeting with Focus Factory Leadership regarding student performance as needed</li>\n <li>Consistently grade tests and quizzes to ensure knowledge capture and understanding of training topics</li>\n <li>Communicate with other Training team members to advance work and communicate issues</li>\n <li>Supporting special training projects as required</li>\n <li>Support the Training department goals and objectives with other responsibilities as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>Minimum of 4 years of welding trade experience</li>\n <li>Ability to participate on business travel up to 15%</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Advanced educational course work including certifications, associates or other advanced education degree</li>\n <li>Instructing/teaching experience</li>\n <li>Leadership experience (working leader, MDU, SS …ETC)</li>\n <li>Currently qualified & proficient in 3 or more welding processes</li>\n <li>Experience with non-destructive testing, AWPSS & SRT</li>\n <li>Proficiency with communication & virtual technologies</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills</h2>\n<p><strong>Skills: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Have a strong ability to prioritize and complete multiple complex assignments</li>\n <li>Have a strong ability to lead and direct in a classroom and workshop environment</li>\n <li>Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Have demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)</li>\n <li>Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment</li>\n <li>Have a strong willingness to think critically and problem solve</li>\n <li>Have a strong commitment to teaching others and leading student classes</li>\n <li>Have a demonstrated commitment to customer-service, safety & procedural compliance</li>\n <li>Ready to learn and take on additional responsibilities and duties as needed</li>\n <li>Ready to learn and teach new courses and team members with a variety of learning abilities</li>\n <li>Have the ability to engage with supplier employees in a professional manner</li>\n <li>Be comfortable with new teaching technologies and willing to adapt to new teaching approaches</li>\n <li>Must Be able to complete and maintain NDT requirements for Welding Qualifications</li>\n <li>Must be able to stand for long periods of time</li>\n <li>Must be able to maneuver throughout the facility and units to support all areas as required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Qualifications</h2>Kneeling, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting\n<h2>Environmental Attributes</h2>Cold, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise",
