    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>To provide nursing oversight to people that attend the Day Habilitation program, and support and guidance to the staff.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides medical oversight and medical assessment of all people that attend the Day Habilitation to ensure their safety and well- being.</li>\n <li>Provide continuous training and support to the staff in order for them to efficiently meet each person’s medical needs. </li>\n <li>Administer first aid as needed or instruct staff on necessary medical interventions.</li>\n <li>Reviews all medical records and paperwork, including annual physicals and medical visit appointments, on a regular basis and following doctor’s orders as prescribed.</li>\n <li>Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure all medical concerns are addressed.</li>\n <li>Acts as a liaison with the family, residences and MD to coordinate care.</li>\n <li>Ensure that all medical documentation is comprehensive and conforms with agency policies and procedures and is maintained in the person’s medical chart.</li>\n <li>Provide supervision to the LPN, and will be available to the LPN for any medical assessment or medical concern.</li>\n <li>Ensure implementation of all new medical policies and procedures by training staff and observation of practices.</li>\n <li>Ensure that work-related safety procedures are in place and are being adhered to by staff. Observance of an unsafe or a potentially hazardous work environment must be immediately reported to supervisor.</li>\n <li>Performs additional related duties as requested by her supervisor.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Physical aspects may include but not limited to lifting and transferring of an adult/child.</em></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Associates degree in Nursing required.  </p></li>\n <li><p>New York State Department of Education Nursing license</p></li>\n <li><p>Six (6) month’s experience with people with disabilities required.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
