As part of our dynamic team, you can lead the way, as we continue our journey towards high reliability care!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We currently have an exciting opportunity for a <strong>Cardiology Technologist</strong> to join our <strong>Cardio Diagnostics Team.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Employment Status: Temporary Full-time Duration:</strong> October 2026<strong>Hours of Work: </strong>Days, primarily weekdays. Weekend coverage may be required. <strong>Location: </strong>Hennick Humber Hospital, Wilson Site <strong>Labour Group: </strong>OPSEU 577<strong>Reporting Relationship: </strong>Manager, Cardio-Diagnostic <strong>Hourly Rate:</strong> $35.93 - $41.37</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Provides optimum quality non-invasive diagnostic cardiac testing that will include Cardiac Stress Testing, ECG, Holter Set up and Scanning, Ambulatory Blood Pressure set up and reporting and Simple Spirometry</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs safe and relevant diagnostic examinations, testing, and adjustments with respect to cardiac implanted electronic devices (CIEDs) - this includes, but not limited to, pacemakers, ICDs, implantable loop recorders.</li>\n <li>Collaborates with physicians to address any concerns/issues identified during device interrogation (ie: troubleshooting)</li>\n <li>Assists in CIED implantation and operating analyzer software/programmers. Responds to emergency situations appropriately, if the need arises.</li>\n <li>Participates in patient and family education post implant.</li>\n <li>Safely operates and troubleshoots device clinic equipment, and demonstrates concise and accurate documentation and adherence to unit and hospital policies and procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <strong>Requirements</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certification with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT)/Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologist required, and demonstration of ‘good standing’.  </li>\n <li>Successful completion of a cardiac diagnostic course or equivalent</li>\n <li>Current BCLS provider certification required.</li>\n <li>Certified to perform exercise stress testing, holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and cardiac device interrogation and programming asset.</li>\n <li>Experience in advanced arrhythmia interpretation, pacemaker care and advanced cardiac knowledge</li>\n <li>OR experience is an asset. Able to work full shifts wearing a mask and lead apron</li>\n <li>Minimum 1 year experience related to Cardiac device testing in a similar setting</li>\n <li>Demonstrates superior customer service and teamwork skills</li>\n <li>Adaptable to a fast paced environment and demonstrated ability to work independently</li>\n <li>Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, and receptive to feedback</li>\n <li>Effective computer, MUSE, and Meditech knowledge is preferred. </li>\n <li>An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
